The bed was fine. We had dogs with us. We were put in a room that had a carpet so dirty I was afraid to walk on it with bare feet. It gad visible dog hair and it seemed as though ut hadn't been vacuumed.

This was a good place to lay our head. All staff we encountered were awesome, curiosity, and provided excellent service. The building itself was not clean and needed to be upgraded. Wallpaper was falling down and held up with thumb tacks. Ac leaked causing the carpet to be soured and smelly. Caulk was old, stained, and needs to be replaced. Cracked and chipped tiles in the bathrooms. Poor breakfast choices. Owners needed to fix up the property.

We arrived at 1:30 at night and the staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel was tired and dingy not horribly so but it needs an intervention soon. The tub had a brown streak in the middle and the bathroom floor was not clean. If it had not been so late we would have searched for other accommodations. I was so glad our kids 4&5 were not with us because the carpet was at least 20 years old and I would have not wanted them to play on it. Glad we only booked one night.

This hotel is obviously older, which was to be expected at this price point, and rather dingy. Our air conditioner broke and flooded the room during our stay, but they were super quick to address that, so kudos to the staff on that front. But the room smelled musty and felt damp the whole time. It was reasonably clean, and again, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The location isn’t as ideal as we had hoped for exploring Indiana Dunes, but we didn’t know the area so that’s on us. And there are no dining options in walking distance.

Don’t Do It!

Outdated and DIRTY! We wouldn’t walk on the carpet without shoes. Bathroom was moldy. Cobwebs and bugs in the corner. Debris behind furniture. Pullout sofa had dog hair. Drawers had hair and black debris. I stopped taking photos so wouldn’t be so grossed out. They wouldn’t let us cancel our second night.

There isn’t a lot of signage encouraging people to pick up after their pets. Other hotels I have stayed at overemphasize it, and also make a point of explaining potential fines. It has me wondering if maybe such an in your face reminder would encourage other guests to be decent. The hotel can’t help their clientele’s actions, I know, but walking my pet was gross.

Disappointed in Wyndham

We have stayed in many Wyndham time shares which have always been well maintained, up to date and fresh. We expected the same quality as this hotel bore the Wyndham name. Such an error on our part. $200 for one night. The room smelled musty/moldy, the room very worn and dank, the tub permanently stained. Very disappointed in Wyndham for not improving this property before putting on the market for use.

Adequate (but the dunes are fantastic!!)

I’d say this place was minimally acceptable for the price. I’m not picky, but it needs an update. Room was comfortable, but you had to have the hall light on for the tv to work, and that only worked sometimes. Had to figure this out on our own after front desk replaced remote batteries (uselessly). I’d think they would know. Pool is dirty. Not the water but the structure. Staff nice. Breakfast passable except first day it was cold. Sausage was gross. Seemed to be several really drunk patrons… maybe due to bar next door? I’ll probably look for another hotel next time, but this’ll do if needed.

Will not stay again. Strong chemical masking odors. Had to wear shoes on gross carpet. 64 degrees when we walked into room. Sheet not fitting Bath fan obnoxious Blinds had to be clipped to darken room. No tissues. Needs a remodel Good staff. Good breakfast. Good mattress. Good parking. Good HVAC. It’s a $70 stay.
