My three boys and I had a wonderful stay at the Freeport Inn. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The property was clean and the pool was wonderful. I’m confident that I will stay again at the Freeport Inn and will highly recommend others to do the same. Thank you for helping to make our Maine vacation memorable!

Don't stay here

I was shocked at check in when the employee told us we had to leave the check in area (where the pool was) and drive to another location to get to our room. Luckily I was traveling with 1 other adult; if I was traveling with children and looking forward to using the pool I would have been very angry. The photos online are very misleading.

Nice clean room. We had a beautiful view of the tidal river. No balcony, but a door you could open for fresh air and view. Would have rated 5 ⭐ but the hair dryer didn't work and the tub/shower faucet leaks. Over all a good room for the money.

Not a great stay

We were given a room at the alternate site. We were told we would see the signs for it. We didn't. It is very hard to see the signs from the road. The stair hallway was very hot. We couldn't get our room to a comfortable temperature. The shower didn't give out much water.

The views from my room were incredible, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job cleaning it. However, there are two areas that need improvement. First, the hotel should consider adding an elevator, as I witnessed an elderly woman struggling to carry her luggage up the stairs. I helped her, but I worry about what would have happened if I hadn’t been there. Additionally, the entrance to the stairs from the hotel is extremely hot all the time, which is uncomfortable for guests.

I highly recommend you try the restaurant next door called “Days Crabmeat & Lobster!” Great food right next door! Pool was great. Wish there was continental breakfast. Overall a great stay! Will be returning.

Okayest view with less than optimal conditions

The showerhead was nonfunctional to the point where it felt like you’re standing under a leaky gutter. The shower floor was pretty gross and stained. The pillows were amongst the most terrible I’ve ever had (I’ve been staying in hotels for three decades) The cable service was freezing up a lot Front desk staff were super friendly! They had a pretty view from the back of the building. Easy access to the freeway.

Great property

dogs allowed easy dog, walking area and bags provided. I can’t think of anything negative at all to say about this property. The only surprise was when I checked in I had to drive to another building a short distance, but not a problem.
