Very nice overnight stay in Portland. We have been to the city and this hotel before so we were excited to show friends around. Very clean and modern hotel. However, I don't like that paying for parking has become standard at many hotels. I would rather it was included. That, and the $25 fee/credit to be spent is annoying. Maybe if you are staying more than a day, but we mostly dropped $25 on soda and candy that we didn't want. There was no time to use the restaurant or bar during our stay.

The hotel is nice and situated in a convenient location for walking to multiple dining options. We checked in a bit late and we didn’t notice that the room was caked in pet fur and dander. By 2AM everyone needed allergy pills, it would be nice if the hotel disclosed that certain rooms are pet friendly. I wouldn’t have stayed here if I knew the room was an allergy attack waiting to happen. The resort fee is non refundable even if you don’t use it…seems like a bit of a rip off. The hotel parking is valet only and that is $40 a night. For one night in addition to the basic room cost with taxes I was charged $125 at check in. Be prepared for that expense as Expedia didn’t mention this.

Nice hotel in a nice spot.

We had a single night stay as part of a bigger trip. The staff were all very friendly. As part of your cost for the room, you get a $25 stipend to use at the bar or for meals. We chose a few drinks at the bar. The bartender was extremely nice. The location is nice...right next to Shipyard Brewing, which has good food. And if you show your room card, you get 10% off of everything (food, drinks and merchandise). the neighborhood itself felt safe. The room was nice sized, along with the bathroom. We did not get a chance to try out the pool or the exercise room.

The property adds a daily $25 surcharge for hotel charges which I was told I can use on the last day. So we spent $80 on breakfast assuming this would be covered with the surcharge. After checking out, they only applied $25 and not the whole thing. Super annoying.
