Wow this hotel is so impressive on every level. The hospitality at its finest. The staff went out of their way during my check in, the bed was super comfortable, the room clean. From the comfortable room we have and the nice soaking tub, everything was wonderful. They have a 24/7 customer service and store. A relaxing lounge with a koi pond and a huge onsen bath down the hall for men and women. The highlight of all? Is the Waterfalls Restaurant restaurant in 1st floor. Ypu could tell with the quality, visual and flavor that it is made really well with skill. Sure, its in the pricier side, but it is worth it. Definitely recommended for people to come visit even if just for the restaurant. It's Japanese inspired with French twist. My wife and I will visit again soon!

Simply great stay

Location is about 15 mins drive away from Portland downtown when traffic is light. This hotel is new, clean and modern. Room is specious. Bathrooms also great, modern and big bathtub with separate shower area. It’s very quiet at night and safe environment. It has nice Japanese style Zen like garden where you can relax on the 1st floor. There is a shop as well for bottled drinks, amenities you forgot to pack and some Japanese snacks and items. We did I not have a chance to use restaurant on site. There is an onsen-bath on 1st floor. I enjoyed my bath time in a deep tab in my room. Sam at the reception is an excellent, smooth check in. We will definitely be back here, our next visit to Portland.

This is a lovely new clean property. Bathroom shower is outstanding. Front desk staff very accommodating. Dinner was very good. Wait staff a bit inexperienced but friendly and again, accommodating. This is more of a business hotel rather than a vacation spot.

Many Japanese style amenities- koi pond in lobby, on site soaking pools, personal escort to elevator - were lovely and appreciated, however I had a hard time getting past the filthy shirt and poor personal hygiene of the front desk staff person interacted with. Twice…same dirty shirt both days. Made me wonder about the cleanliness of the hotel. Not a good first impression.

The property was quiet for the most part. Hard to get in a Zen-like mode, though, when people were working in the lobby/pond/garden area on their phones and laptops. Comfortable bed but pillows were flat. Roomy shower but awkward that the only controls to the shower were in the separate bathtub. Nowhere to sit other than on the bed or in a single office chair - not great for a couple or for anything other than a night's stay. Overall, is a nice place. Desk staff was very helpful, kind and upbeat. We would stay here again, especially if activities are west of Portland.

Wonderful stay

All the other hotels had so many extra surcharges (i.e. parking feesLocated away from the hustle and bustle which means no nearby restaurants, but you are less than 5 minutes away from all that. The hotel was as described on their website. The gentleman at the front desk who checked me in was just so nice. I loved the onsen bath and the entire Japanese influence which extended out to their on site restaurant and bar. Will definitely be back.
