This facility is showing its age and really is in need of a renovation. The floor boards in our room had separated, some by as much as 1/2". The bed was a metal frame bed under which, was wrapped with thin sheet metal, which when tapped with a toe or shoe (or CPAP hose) sounded like thunder from a 1940's movie. We stayed two of seven days before moving on.
Some confusion ensued when I called Travelocity to check on a refund for the unused five days (I fully expected Days Inn to only refund four - I have / had no problem with this). I quickly realized I needed to call the property directly and spoke directly with the GM. I was able to straighten the issue out and a refund for four days was issued immediately.
Outside of the property showing its age and needing some updating, the staff did an excellent job. I did get the impression that a renovation is forthcoming...
We arrived on Monday and Anil at the front dest was helpful even though my card kept giving him problems. Once checked in we noticed a smokers smell in our room. Anil offered to put us in a better room, but we said we just wanted him aware so we weren't charged for someone elses choices. When we checked out Shawn was extremely helpful after our night was interupted by a noisy neighbor and offered a discount on our next visit. We will truly be going back with the amount of patience and care they take for their guests. The property has easy acess rooms if your traveling with pets and a safe area to walk them.
I liked that the check in process was quick and easy and the front desk was very nice and welcoming. We received treats for my dogs and chocolates for me and my partner. I think they can improve on the bathroom cleanliness, the tub was stained and the room smelled like cigarettes. Other than that we enjoyed our experience and would go back if needed.
Great staff and check in. Nice room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Heater worked well. Shower was excellent.
Could have used more towels. There was some junk left outside the back of the room. The parking awning leaked water all over my car.

Not the best stay
So first the room wasn't that clean there's dirt and stuff in the kid bathroom and in the coverage nightstands and other things the TV did not work it works about an hour then shut off then worked again called down there they came up didn't know what was wrong with it my bad downstairs it came up turn off TV came back on in about an hour later and never got fixed
It was a good clean but not too new room with older jacuzzi, but was working and good to use. Pillows were not comfortable. Had shampoo, conditioner and body shampoo in big pump bottle attached to the wall but was not soap for hands.
The chair in my room had a rip in it. There was a long black hair in my bed between the sheets. Bed had a hollow metal base that I kept banging my foot into. Bathroom towels were stained. Noise from the highway was loud. Breakfast was sparse, nothing hot. Ironing board had one leg, on purpose. Shower was good. Bathroom lighting was good. Room heater worked well.
Our room was in need of repair. Bathtub was cracked and old. Toilet was not working correctly and the toilet seat very and paint was actually worn off the seat. The flooring in room was chipped and very worn looking. Sink in vanity was cracked. Room service sometimes had to be requested more than once. We did not use any of the facilities. This was our first visit and will likely not return.
Things you should know:
1. Bring your own towel
- Every “clean” shower towel I saw, while appearing clean, had at least 1 or more strands of hair on it.
2. Don’t get a room on the ground floor
- There is a door in between rooms, bad for soundproofing, and I did not feel safe.
Overall, this place needs some clear maintenance and I hope it gets it. The location right now is the best thing going for it, located on SE Stark St it’s just nice and you can drive anywhere from there. I would give this place 2.5 stars but there is no option for half-stars. I would round up but I don’t feel comfortable with doing so. There are nicer places with more ease of mind, for slightly more money.
the lobby and room that we had assigned to us smelt like an old cigarette ash tray. After checking in around 3:30 pm and seeing the mess of a room, we went to dinner and was able to get a room elsewhere. We then went back to the Days Inn and checked out. At that point we were offered a different room, but we had already paid for accommodations elsewhere. I think a full refund is in order, but I won't loose any sleep over it either way.
