The overnight was great, but we had an erroneous air quality sensor trigger in our room which was very easily handled by the manager without issue (sensor measurements were not matching up to the alert). All in all, another good stay and why we have exclusively booked this hotel for the past decade and then some.

Reception desk was amazingly helpful. We were staying in the area for my daughters' SAT tests the next morning. Unbeknownst to us, it was the eve of the Rose Festival in Portland so the area was noisy. They helped us get a quiet room suite so my daughters were well rested for the test. In fact, I think the suite was a bit larger that what I had originally booked. We couldn't stay long due to restricted traffic associated with parades, but the valet parking helped us get out before things got too congested. Stately Art Deco decor and luxurious suites made me think of a bygone era. This is definitely a place I would enjoy spending some more time during less pressured circumstances.

Arrive late in the evening and only 1 receptionist, sp a little bit of a wait. However, she was really nice, cheerful, and helpful to all the guests. Everyone was given the same amount of attention to make their stay better.

I loved the room and the spaciousness. Liked the valet parking in front it made parking easy for us. The two parts that made this three stars was the fire a alarm that went off at 11pm one night that only evacuated one floor. There was no communication from staff and it was very non chalant “okay you can go back to your rooms”. Second was the breakfast chef at the omelette station. Was rude about making scrambled eggs even though he did it for a customer right in front of me, tried to deter me by saying “there’s some in the middle!” To which I had to then tell him I wanted them from this made to order line. It was for my little sister which is why I was not just going to leave. I liked the property just the hospitality was a little off.

We stayed here for two nights. The interior of the hotel is clean and presentable, and the rooms were fairly comfortable. Breakfast was actually a highlight — they had omelets made to order, which was a nice touch. However, several issues made our stay less than ideal. The mattress in our room was lumpy and sagged noticeably, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The hotel is also located in a rough part of town, with many transients in the area. At one point, we encountered a completely naked individual screaming outside — definitely not something you want your kids exposed to. Another downside is that there’s no free parking, and we had a very negative interaction with a valet worker. When we pulled up to the 15-minute loading zone, he rudely told us we couldn’t park there if our party was still upstairs — which completely defeats the purpose of a loading zone. Overall, while the inside of the hotel looks nice and the breakfast was decent, the location, mattress quality, and poor service from staff brought the experience down significantly.
