I have never used Hotels.Com before, I usually deal directly with the hotel, but had trouble finding their local number. I finally just chose Hotels.com out of frustration. My room was on the busy road with unimproved windows, the traffic was noisy, esp after 6 am. I like my room cool for sleeping, but it was too cool for relaxing with a book. I turned the cooling off and the heat on, immediately there was a burning smell from the register. I noticed that the register vents had not been cleaned, most likely accounting for the smell. I moved to the bed with the covers to read and turned the system off so it did not get too cool. The rest of the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable. I noticed there were no extra blankets and no where to store any. I wonder if these small rooms are reserved for discount hotel reservations.
