We loved the location, and the inn is our style (a Victorian bed and breakfast), but only one staff member was friendly and helpful. The rest were average to poor (slow response time at the desk, little eye contact, not professionally dressed, no smiles, etc.) The housekeeper on our second day was not happy about being asked to accommodate our luggage while she was cleaning (we added a night and had to switch rooms). The morning we were leaving, she hovered and made us feel like we needed to get out quickly, even though we were checking out early.

Unique style of a hotel. We did book the room with a separate bathroom which was right next door to our room. Not a big deal to us. We were out most of the day so just needed a place for rest and sleep. Good location. Short drive to downtown Portland. Nice breakfast set up. Coffee and tea always available. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Check out the Vietnamese restaurant around the corner! Delicious Pho and spring rolls!

What a great find! We had a wonderful stay on our mother/daughter road trip, stopped in Portland for 2 nights. The front desk staff was so welcoming/friendly. Our room was perfect, very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king room with private bathroom, so spacious!

Would stay again! I’m one to be skeptical of small, local hotels when traveling, but this place was excellent & I felt safe. Great option to indulge in the “New England” culture while visiting Portland. Staff was friendly. We went with the private bathroom. The private bathroom was a few doors down from our room, & we were provided comfortable robes for showering. The bathroom can be locked with your room key. 10/10 Recommend!
