This is a great hotel. Most often love it and have a great time. This time we arrived at 5pm well after check in time and our room was “jumped” by housekeeping. They did an amazing job to ready our room for us but we had to wait 40+ minutes.

The staff? Amazing! The room?? Not so great, also I woke to snoring in the room next door! That was so bizarre and icky! It felt like they were in my room. You could hear a pin drop from any room around you. Beware!

I appreciate the parking included. Very helpful when needing to have an easy place to land when in town to take care of some things. I had asked for a quiet room, but I was on the back side of the Inn across the street and every morning there were the clouds back up beeping of trucks. I thought initially it was just garbage day, but I think it’s across from a warehouse or someplace where trucks load up every day. So…that was not good. Other than that it was fine…I needed a close in more affordable option and Park Lane is like an old school motor lodge that has been updated. I’d stay again but I’d be sure to ask not to be overlooking the loading area. Also, if needing anything like extra towels or what not, you have to go across the street to the “Suites” side. Not fun in the middle of the night when you’re settled in already.

Great location and very friendly, welcoming staff. Free parking is a huge perk in Portland and definitely a plus. That said, the soundproofing is really poor. You can clearly hear footsteps from the room above, which makes it hard to fully relax. Also, while parking is included, if the hotel is full you may have to use an overflow lot and move your car early in the morning.

When I checked in the staff was extremely cheerful and happy but she neglected to tell me that the overflow parking was two blocks away and kind of hilly and I have a walker. So when I got back later that night that was a bit of a challenge. And the toilet was terrible. I had to use the plunger all the time. Also, the air conditioner was just very marginal and blew air all over us. Not a happy camper.

Room was clean. Bed had some kind of metal base that squeaked every time someone moved. Staff was nice and efficient. Parking was VERY tight.
