Beautiful, gracious hotel with an excellent, welcoming staff. Our room was spacious, comfortable & clean, with a bottle of wine awaiting us! There was even a note of welcome. We had an outstanding meal downstairs, with a kind, attentive waiter. The pantry near our room was well stocked with all sorts of goodies, including warm pastries in the morning. There were 4 choices of creamer in the refrigerator, and a wide array of coffee pods, tea pods, and a hot chocolate pod. Fruit, and flavored water, as well. As far as we're concerned, this is the place to stay in portland!!

Portland Harbor Hotel contributed to a lovely first impression of Portland, Maine. Excellent location in the Old Port, surrounded by shopping and restaurants just blocks from the water. The hotel is incredibly hospitable. We loved the birthday card and whoopie pies they gifted me for my birthday trip. The $35 daily amenity fee is worth it for use in the hotel bar and the small shop. The open pantry feature on each floor is brilliant - there were fresh fruits, granola bars, bottled drinks, coffee, and treats each day. We loved that the staff checked in via text to see if we needed anything; however, we never did since the hotel had such generous offerings! Our room was excellent. The king bed was very comfortable. We had three windows in our room layout with views from each, and a comfortable living room area that we enjoyed using each night. I hope to visit Portland again and stay here!

Lovely room although a little small for my taste. Staff were cheerful and positive, gave us great recommendations for dinner. Right smack in the middle of town. Lots to see and walk to.

Shower extremely small and shower head too low for anyone over 6’ tall. Also, the quality of the mattress seemed to be very poor. You could literally feel the springs when you laid down. And the pillows offered almost no support at all. Also, not sure if it was just our room, or this is a occurrence throughout the hotel, but the HVAC system was very loud and something directly inside the vent was rattling so much that we had to shut the system off so that we could fall asleep. The one staff member that we met at the front desk was phenomenal, but that was the only positive I can honestly point out. Without having confirmation of substantial changes or upgrades, we will not be returning for a stay in the future.

We absolutely love this hotel In the old port. It’s easy walking to All shops and restaurants. It’s comfortable and classy. If you’re going to Portland this is where you want to stay.

A lovely hotel centrally located. Beautiful outdoor patio area. Great staff. Absolutely loved our waitress at the hotel restaurant. CONS: $45/parking, which I know is becoming the standard but is still outrageous. Bigger CON: AMENITY FEE. $35 fee, which they make you feel better about supposedly by giving what sorta amounts to a free breakfast. Some yogurt. Some pastries. Some milk. Some flavored water. Some fruit. You get compensated by this unasked for $35 per day fee if you use their restaurant/bar. But this sort of thing amounts to an extra $100/night for an already somewhat expensive room. I'll find another option elsewhere.
