Over the years, I've stayed at Residence Inns in Boston, MA, Albuquerque, NM, The D.C. area and San Diego, CA. They have all been quite enjoyable, excellent facilities, great breakfasts. This place was different, in several ways. Check in was easy enough, but the clerk was either new or not terribly competent. We had two rooms, neither was particularly clean, and we found mold in both of them. The furniture was ... in need of replacement. The beds were comfy and we had clean linens, but in one room the toilet had a problem, which seemed to mystify the desk clerk, who insisted they only serviced the room every six days (this was a maintenance issue) and was less than pleasant about getting it fixed. Breakfast was ... edible if uninspiring. We checked in on Friday, and by Sunday, there was no cereal of any kind, with no expectation of replenishment until Weds (there was grocery store across the highway). While the fitness center was well-equipped, the swimming pool was not well maintained - cloudy water In short, this place was not up to the standards I expect from Residence Inns (and Marriott in general) and I would not return.

The room was very spacious and tidy. The furniture was ok, not great. There were things that needed repairs such as faucets broken, bathroom door could not be closed, bedroom door would not stay open and toilet was about 10 inches off the floor.

We liked how close we were to shopping, food and Old Orchard Beach! However the room could have been a lot cleaner. The walls seemed thin and we heard a lot of stomping in our first room. The staff was wonderful cant say enough about them. we did have to move 3 times due to issues with the rooms.

Scam, stay away.No room, charged but not refunded.

Terrible hotel. I booked online but when I showed up, they didn’t have space for me. For 3 weeks, neither residence inn nor hotels.com have refunded me for a service I never received (contacted customer service twice; promises but no results). Hotels.com says they cannot get in touch with hotel manager. Figure it out. Disputing and taking this to small claims court.
