Room was larger than most hotel rooms with a large bathroom also. The main hotel was closed for the season so we stayed across the street in a smaller section. Very lovely decor and very quiet. Being off season no restaurants at the hotel were open. But we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again!

Overall it was an ok stay. Some things that fell short was staff/help, no one to go to if you needed something because the main house was closed. Our room had no bodywash/gel left (wasnt refilled by cleaning staff i guess) so we couldnt even shower properly and no one to ask for more. Also a lot of lack of communication, for example getting emails about the breakfast/restaurant on site -only to find out they are all closed for the season. Also no information on where to check out/how, and if you happened to check in after 5pm -there would be no one there to check you in. In addition, the coveside market was the only food option for the hotel, which was highly disappointing; we got there at 9:30am and they were already out of breakfast sandwiches and basically all the pastries -despite no one even being there. We went during october so it was much more quiet, yet they already had run out of food. Only thing left was basically prepackaged snacks/foods, which i ended up getting an egg salad sandwich which was just really not good at all.

Beware… you’re not booking a room in this hotel!!!

Beware when booking!!!!! If you are booking on the off season you will not be put in the hotel you are viewing. They put off season guest in their new building, which is nice, but you’re not paying for the hotel you see. The hotel says its hotels.com fault and hotels.com says it’s the hotel’s fault. More charming hotels than their new one to choose from and not worth the money.

We loooooved the Colony Hotel! We were there in late October, so the main part of the hotel was closed, but the wing on the other side of the parking lot was brand newly remodeled and perfectly convenient, super clean and cute! Very easy parking, very very convenient location, we could walk straight out to the path along the ocean and could either walk or a very short drive to town. We absolutely loved it so much that we came back two nights later!

We were surprised we were not in the building pictured online but rather in a new building. The staff we did meet were friendly. Wish housekeeping would restock daily on items like coffee, styrofoam cups etc. The property was very clean and comfortable. The views from the main building were spectacular! Easy access to the beach!

The colony hotel was in a convenient location and had beach access where we walked right down and enjoyed the sunset with our dogs. Our room was dirtier than I expected, even for a pet friendly room. The carpet was stained in multiple areas likely pet stains. I understand we booked a pet room because we had our 2 dogs but it was just dirtier than I expected. The WiFi was also terrible, even without WiFi we hardly get any cell service. We couldn’t watch tv because the network was so bad it kept cutting in and out.

We stayed across from the main hotel. We had to walk across the facility to get coffee and a muffin. They should have a coffee station in Coveside as well. Over all, it was a charming place.

Beautiful hotel. Beautifully decorated, close to town. Loved all the common areas for sitting and enjoying the views. Staff was lovely. We were given a room across the hall from the bar which was super loud and just not an ideal location. Other than that we loved our stay.

Upon arrival our check-in experience was sub-par. Person working the desk was extremely slow and unfriendly, no welcome or hotel info provided, not even WiFi access info. Room had not been properly cleaned or vacuumed as evidenced by stepping on a contact lens and finding a dirty tissue beside my bed. No internet access the entire duration of our stay, 3 days. That meant no tv as it needed internet access. These items were reported to the front desk each day of our stay and were never fixed. We were never offered an apology or explanation. I had to call the front desk the 2nd day to request refill pods for the coffee service and clean towels. I asked that the GM be notified of these issues and received no follow-up. This could be a lovely property but no one seems to care about hospitality or the customer experience. I was incredibly disappointed as I had been very excited to stay here. There are nicer hotels in the area, don’t waste your money here.
