Oldie but goodie
Oldie but goodie! Might be a problem if you are a light sleeper as the rooms are not very noise proof but overall a great place to stay. The beach is as close as you see in the pictures!!

We love staying at the edgewater! It is always super clean and beautiful views and beautiful rooms. We were a bit dissapointed the fireplace in our room wasnt working but despite that had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Stayed during low season. Really great first time visiting Maine. Hotel is clean, comfortable and optimal location to bed and surounding amenities. Staff is very friendly and always present. Beds were comfy. Rooms aren't the most sound proof can hear second floor and neighbors. But overall a very comfortable stay. Coffee and tea is offered in the morning at office and you're steps away from other restaurants. Would recommend and return.

Very kind, hospitable and helpful staff at the front desk. We were there in late October, so it was a quiet time. Not sure how it would be in peak season. The hotel sits literally behind the beach, so it’s an ideal spot.

The Edgewater is great. My only suggestion to the management was to move the outdoor ashtray away from the walkway to the beach and the building. For health rei cannot be near cigarette smoke. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

Room was nice. I like how close it was to a beach entrance. They have an EV charger which is almost unheard of on hotel properties in New England. I was surprised to hear the loudest train traffic move through overnight 4 or 5 times. I had not read any reviews that mentioned the train sounds. In spite of that, I’d still stay there again.

The Edgewater is a great place to stay, right on the beach. The rooms are very cute, clean, comfortable beds, and nice size. Bathroom a little small but has a great bath/shower combo. Nice staff, would stay again.

The staff at The Edgewater were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean , comfortable, and a good size. We received clean towels everyday along with light housekeeping. It is a 2 min walk to the ocean and a great restaurant is right next door “ Joseph’s by the sea”. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

We totally enjoyed the view of the beach, the design of the deck, the floral landscaping, and the friendliness of the manager and staff! The interior size is a little small and the chairs were a little uncomfortable, however you will spend very little time inside in such a beautiful area.

The beds are not terribly uncomfortable but the pillows are very lumpy. It was not particularly hot outside but the room was very warm and the air conditioner continually turned on and off all night but the room never really cooled down. The walls are paper thin and we were ground level so we heard every person who walked by and our next door neighbor had kids that started talking very loudly very early in the morning and the sound came right through the wall like they were in the room with us. Also our room had huge carpenter ants. staff came and sprayed around the door but we continued to find them in our room. They have coffee and tea but they did not have any dairy free creamer options. Although the location is great to walk out to the water and the staff was all very nice I would not stay here again.
