Rooms have beautifully traditional decor but have fine modern features like step-in showers and adequate air conditioning. Hotel is on a quiet, elegant, leafy residential street, but still convenient. It is in an early 1900's building that resembles a mansion but had been a US Embassy building. Most importantly, staff is especially knowledgeable and helpful.

Stayed in the annex building If you have mobility issues, do not stay here. If you are unable to carry your suitcase up a flight of stairs do not stay here. The Wi-Fi was out for over 24 hours. It took us three tries to get someone to fix it. This was frustrating. Their room was clean. The location was great.

Glorious property, 3-Star food, 5-star service.

The entire stay was excellent. I had broken my arm on day two of our vacation and the staff/owners of this hotel went over and above to help me. I would shout it from the rooftops that if you are looking for the most wonderful people in Rome, stay here. Their breakfasts, coffee, Aperol Spritz and of course the room is part of the charm of the hotel; the special touches and the smiles. The attention to detail is second to none.
