Everyone was exceptionally kind and helpful. The desk staff helped the bolt driver to find us and even stopped a driver that pretended to be a bolt/ uber driver from trying to get us into his car.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Location was excellent; great food right down the street, walking distance to many amenities and attractions, but far enough away where it was very quiet in the evening. I would say the terrace or balcony they advertised was pretty meh, think it was changed from the pictures online -- no view, just concrete barrier. Little disappointing; even if it's just looking at the street and buildings, I enjoy sipping my coffee with a view. Also, don't think this is exclusive to this location, more of a Portuguese thing, but bring your own wash cloth or body scrubby. Overall, still excellent, would gladly stay at this location again if I ever hopefully make it back to Porto

The hotel was located in an excellent location. We did not use the hotel restaurant as we dined out every night. Staff on reception were helpful and knowledgable. We had unseasonbly warm weather and it would have been great if the outdoor pool was still open. Indoor pool in spa area was good but quite small.

Modern and quite cozy hotel, room is clean. A little disappointed that we didn't get any Expedia gold upgrade, and were assigned a room on the lowest floor facing the road for 3 nights stay, luckily the sound-proofing was ok and the road wasn't that busy at night. 1 bottle of water was provided only on first night.

The hotel was located close to the old part of town, with paid parking close by. Staff at the reception desk were very knowledgeable, helpful and spoke perfect English. The room was large (superior) but the heated towel rail in the bathroom did not heat up, thus towels stayed damp and were only replaced when left in the bath tub. The room was made up daily, however bedding was not replaced daily and on one of the three days we stayed, the room wasn't made up until early afternoon. Breakfast wasn't included in the price of the room and charged at an extra €20 per person, per day. This making it a very expensive room. The food in the dining room was OK, small, well cooked portions, not too expensive. All staff, with the exception of the maître d we're exceptionally polite and most spoke very good English. In all, we found that although the hotel was OK, it didn't really feel 4* and we felt it was not good value for money. We will not be using this hotel again.

After I checked out of the hotel and had some time to kill, I laid down on a couch in their vacant restaurant because I was so tired, and they woke me up to tell me I can’t lay down here. The wifi also didn’t reach the room, and I wasn’t the only guest to say that. Also they have no lotion.

The best asset to Catalonia Hotel was it’s staff, especially Lucas at the Front Desk. I had been feeling ill and he assisted me in finding an Urgent Care. The next day, he followed up and inquired as to how I was feeling. Personal touches make a difference especially when you are not feeling well.
