The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was bright and clean. Newly renovated bathroom and clean. Breakfast was very good. Just there are quite a few stairs and no elevator.

Just an outstanding and very beautiful property
This was the most beautiful property - an old house converted into a fabulous B&B with very spacious and extremely well appointed rooms and great views over the city. But what really made it stand out was the level of personal service - we were greeted with a welcome drink of port, coffee and tea was available any time of the day and night, and every afternoon they laid on cakes and biscuits! Absolutely outstanding - and the staff were just so lovely. The only thing to be warned about is that there is no lift due to the property being under a preservation order. So this might be challenging for anyone with any mobility impairment. But I have to say that the beauty of the original staircase more than made up for the climb to our fabulous room on the very top floor! Thanks everyone - would definitely recommend this property to anyone who loves boutique or characterful hotels. Outstanding!

Everything was great but climbing the stairs after a walk up the hill to the hotel is challenging. The hotel did inform us that there is no lift, so we were prepared.

My partner and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel! The hotel is conveniently located only a few steps from the busy R. de Santa Caterina where there is a lot of tourists walking and shopping. Even though the hotel was very close to all of that, it was still quiet. We had to buzz in for check in and for our stay, our room key had to be used to unlock the main door, which made us feel very safe. Be warned there are no elevators! There is a flight of stairs when you first enter before you reach the front desk. There was a kind gentleman with glasses (sorry I didn't get his name) who checked us in and out for our stay and helped us carry our baggage up and down the stairs. Our room was right on the same floor as the front desk and the main stairway, but we did not have any issue with noise. They offer a light breakfast selection that you can choose what you would like and what time to have the cart delivered to your room. You can also change the breakfast selection each day if you choose by completing another breakfast form before 9pm that day for the next day. Our room was street view and had a cute table area in front of the window for us to enjoy breakfast in the mornings while people watching. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel even leaves out cake on the second floor and there's also a coffee machine that can be used anytime. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

This is a fabulous former single family home renovated into a boutique hotel. It was a warm, welcoming and comfortable place with elegant (if small) rooms. A love,y building. The staff , reception clerk and manager were attentive and helpful. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

This accommodation really does FLH. Location is brilliant! So easy to walk anywhere. Staff were lovely and helpful, especially Beatrice. Room was perfect, breakfast in the room was a bonus. Beautiful old building, tastefully renovated. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Such an amazing stay here! Staff were courteous and so helpful. Rooms were nice and so clean. Nice touch to have breakfast served in our room. We were within walking distance of everything. Very old building so no elevators which was fine for us but could be a challenge for others. Definitely recommend them!

The hotel was perfect. Its location is in the heart of shopping and walking distance of everything! Unfortunately, there isn’t a lift to the rooms so be prepared to walk up a few flights of stairs. We found the receptionist/host, Carla, to be very proud of Porto, where she was born and raised, and she was more than happy to share all the must-see sights in the city as well as warn us of the restaurants to avoid since they charge tourists more than the locals. The breakfast and afternoon treats were wonderful! We would, and will, highly recommend staying here!
