The interior of this hotel is very beautiful. The service was first rate. The wait staff was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful (small) old time elevator inside. The rooms were very ample sized, spotless and contained all the accessories we needed. The bedding was very comfortable and i wish i could bring those pillows home with me! The shower was a bit smaller than i am used to and felt awkward to use. Inside the hotel was very quiet, but there happened to be a LOT of outside noise and partying outside of the room until 3 or 4 a.m. Decided to buy the buffet breakfast offering and it was well worth it. Big selection of freshly made foods and desserts. Overall, would definitely stay again.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at during our extensive international travel! It is very elegant throughout and the rooms are elegant as well as as very spacious! It is close to great tourist attractions as well as different types of neighborhoods and excellent restaurants that vary in price. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone! It is an experience of a lifetime!

I would highly recommend this property! The staff are amazing!!!! The hotel is beautiful, immaculate and great location. Our experience is also during the time of the international power outage that lasted 10 hrs in Porto. Great customer service under very unusual circumstances. We changed our plans for a 2nd stay there. We will be back!

I recently stayed at this stunning hotel in Porto, and it truly exceeded my expectations in many ways. The building itself is historic and elegant, with beautifully preserved details that create a luxurious atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive, and I have to give special praise to the bellmen and concierge, who were top-notch and always eager to assist. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all that Porto has to offer. However, there were a few drawbacks. The biggest issue was the noise from the surrounding area. Every night, well into the early hours, there were people screaming outside, which made it difficult to sleep. Traveling solo, this also made me feel a bit uneasy. I now understand why the hotel provides earplugs, but unfortunately, they only help so much. I assume the nightlife nearby is quite active, so light sleepers should be prepared. Inside the hotel, I had some minor concerns as well. The hardwood floors meant that I could constantly hear the guests above me moving chairs, which was quite loud. Adding chair pads to the furniture would make a big difference. Also, while the bathroom was beautiful, the bathtub was very deep, making it a bit tricky to get in and out for a shower. Despite these issues, I truly loved the hotel itself.
