Friendly, comfortable and accommodating
Excellent hotel located right on the riverside and perfectly placed to visit all of the sights. I had a terrible journey from the UK due to a bad snow storm which meant I hadn’t slept for 42 hours by the time I arrived at the hotel at 4.30am. The hotel kindly checked me in at that late hour and made the beginning of my vacation a little bit better.

Gorgeous Douro river stay!
Excellent location and really enjoyed the staff’s helpfulness and great breakfast! Room was lovely! Only suggestion for improvement is USB ports for electricity use. We will definitely return and truly enjoyed our stay!

Great boutique hotel

The Hotel is fantastic. The room, the bathroom and the breakfast were super. However one thing that needs to be improved. The access to the hotel is through a stone access (damage and in very bad shape). One of my group broke the luggage wheel. I would suggest to the Hotel, they should install a steel ramp to facilitate the accessibility.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to be near the Douro River. I didn’t have a lot of expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is super clean and I felt safe. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They don’t have room service but they do offer pastries, espresso and water (where they serve breakfast) throughout the day and night.

I had four rooms. Everyone in my family love it. It has a great bed, pillow, big bathroom and great location. The only things that they need to improve is to add a ramp in the front for the luggage (the side walk and stair are a little hard to navigate with heavy luggage).

Wonderful stay
We had an amazing stay at the hotel. Great location near the river, very attentive staff - Louis was great. The room was nice, bed a bit too soft for us, and breakfast good. Also the offering of coffee, tea and cake throughout the day is a nice touch
