Loved the area. 8 minute walk to the chapel of souls and Bolhao market. It's also walkable to the Duoro river. Like 5-6 dollar cab ride to and from. Staff was fine, some more friendly than others. We had a problem with our room as it was too hot. The man who helped us was friendly enough but couldn't get the room any cooler and when we asked if we could switch rooms or if anyone else could help us he said no. Luckily we had a balcony with a view of the little square across the street and there was a nice cool breeze. For the price it was an excellent room, clean, spacious and modern. But there was no espresso machine like we had in Lisbon just instant coffee. No iron or ironing board either. Bathroom and shower were nice too

I love the Turim Oporto and have stayed here multiple times. This stay, unfortunately, the rooms were not cleaned properly: towels, toilet paper, teas/coffee not replenished. Also, the a/c did not work properly and no one did anything about it.

This is a great location with excellent concierge. Our check in was easy, everything was clean and best of all we were in the heart of the city - steps away from restaurants, shopping, and everything we wanted to see and do during our stay!

The pillows here are excellent. Soft and low-profile, instead of the rock hard, over-stuffed neck killers of many hotels. On the other hand, the toilet paper is cheap and scratchy. Give and take, I guess. Check-in is advertised as 14:00, and it's one of the reasons I chose the hotel. My room wasn't ready until 15:00, though, which meant I had to scramble to make an appointment at 16:00. Disappointing. Front desk clerk did offer free breakfast to make up for it, so at least she tried. Very nice breakfast buffet. Pleasant lobby with a bar in it. My room was spacious. Many, MANY, lighting options. Getting to darkness for sleeping involved lots of switches. Amenities were average.

The hotel is within walking distance of the metro and all areas of Porto. The staff are very friendly and made you feel welcome. The room was lovely and modern with a minibar which is chargeable.
