Too much money for smelly mess

They were apparently doing construction in the hotel and we had no idea until we checked in. Smell was horrible when we stepped off the elevator, elevator was covered in foam board. Was told not to use it but was also told we could use it sooo

Our corner room was gorgeous. Seems to be recently completely renovated. Comfy bed. Huge bathroom. Loved the three windows. However the windows need replacing. They are cloudy and you can’t really see well out of them Loved our stay. Walking distance to everything !

This is our family’s second time staying here. Love the salt water pool for the kids and breakfast. It’s right down town so we walk to our favorite Portsmouth restaurants. Only downside is there’s only valet parking which is really your only option in winter since there’s a night parking ban on the street (for snow removal).
