The location was good for downtown shopping and restaurants. Place was clean and well presented. However, housekeeping was inattentive to lack of shampoo, only ONE small waste basket was found, HATED the bed - uncomfortable mattress, lousy pillows, and banged my shin 4 times on the stupid platform that the mattress was on because the mattress was SMALLER than the platform!!! For one night's stay, I was not happy. Hilton can do better. I will remember this stay the next time I choose a Hilton location, and, not in a good way.

Luxury hotel prices for a mid-range hotel

It's an attractive hotel in a good location. But parking was way too expensive and valet parking was required. Next time, we will find a hotel that is more affordable even if it's a bit out of town. There are parking lots in Portsmouth that could make a visit less expensive.

We loved the amenities, cleanliness, and staff! The valet made us feel so comfortable with leaving our new car, the desk staff was helpful with music venues, and breakfast was bountifully well served. We will definitely put his location on our return list!
