When booking hotels.com stated that there was parking on site. Definitely no parking, I had to drive around for over 30 minutes finding a park. No soap in the toilets or bathrooms. Check-in gentleman was A+ and very apologetic about the parking. Very friendly and helpful

Smoking in rooms.

We couldn't stay - the room absolutely stunk of cigarettes. The lady on reception agreed with us that the smell of smoke was very strong, even in the corridors. She told us that the people who were in the room the night before had put a sock over the fire alarm and were smokong. A member of staff had gone to tell them to stop. We managed to book another hotel for the night. We have been refused a refund, which I am so angry about. I always make sure I book non-smokkng rooms as my husband has asthma. We were offered another room but the place just stunk.

The room had two sets of bunk beds which was enough for 4 people if you are young and agile. However we made it work. If the steps to top bunk were padded it would be helpful.The bathroom was shared and down the hall. Again, not convient for retired people. Otherwise not bad for the price.

A great place to stay!

Had an over night stay before we went on holiday. A lovely location, just 2 minutes from the beach. Guy Tony on reception was really helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Room was clean but with drink spill stains on walls and plaster missing by one light switch despite website saying recently redecorated. (Maybe it was still ongoing). Pillows could do with replacing as they were flat with no extras to boost height. Walked a lot in the local area & visited Dockyard & museums which were close by. It was a base for a quick getaway weekend. Loads of places to eat nearby. Would consider staying there again if we were going to that area. Was good for the money paid.

Good value & great location

We had the room with a private shower room which was nice and clean. Hotel was conveniently located with very helpful staff. The recommended pub for dinner was amazing. Sadly a rugby team were staying that night and were so disruptive and loud at 2am!!!

Roomy & clean family room

We were in a family room which had a double bed & bunk beds and our own bathroom. Room was very clean. Had a message night before asking if we knew a rough time we would like to check in, this was a nice touch.

We were lucky to get this double room on the weekend of Victorious festival and the room and amenities were clean. However the bathroom on the top floor that is one shared between 5 rooms didn't have toilet roll by 5am and wasn't refilled by 9am and the shower gel had run out. So I would recommend this hotel if you bring your own toilet roll, shower gel and flip flops for the bathroom. The staff on reception were friendly and kept in touch. We purchased a £2.50 permit but still couldn't park due to the festival so had to drop off bags and park further in to southsea - final thoughts, it did the job and served its purpose.

We booked own bathroom and then it was changed. You can hear the nxt room with opening whatever by the wall ... Tea n coffee would b better in room.. Bin was never emptyed!! I work in bnb and we alway empty the bins.... Staff was absolutely lovely
