A perfectly fine stay for a decent price

I had a comfortable room. The standard sized double was fine for me and comfortable with decent sheets, pillows and duvet. It had a desk as well as a comfortable chair - always a bonus. Generous tea, and coffee with biscuits were welcome. The shower was an older Mira style over the bath but worked OK. I was slightly disappointed that no shower gel was provided. There is a bar of soap and shampoo provided however. Overall a perfectly fine stay for a decent price

Not how I remember 😉

Excellent experience considering it has been 48 years since I was last there! From checking in until I checked out 5 days later, nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly & helpful staff, rooms clean and well appointed, food was lovely. A thoroughly good time was had.

The hotel feels like the management team have no intention of investing into the building or its standards. Outdated, over priced, poor condition of rooms and don't get me started on breakfast…….Absolutely shocking unless your a 4 legged dog that hasn’t eaten for a week…..

We were lucky ish and stayed in the “new” wing. Smelled of paint and was very basic. If ibhad been give a room in the old part I would have stayed somewhere else!! Rude front desk staff. Walked straight past our free breakfast for obvious reasons. Old, dated and needs a huge overhaul

Very comfortable and in an excellent position for the dockyard and Quays. More of a “club” atmosphere with friendly staff. We particularly appreciated the reserved parking space as I hold a blue badge . Thank you

Another good visit.

I use The Maritime, every time I visit Portsmouth. It is clean, tidy, the staff are friendly, the room is comfortable and the water is hot.
