This was my 142th night stay in a hotel during 2024, so I know what a good and bad hotel is.  Arriving on 27 July, this was the worst customer service/experience of the year, so this puts this in the bottom 1pc of my hotel stays of 2024.  A long queue checking in, and when I got to the front the receptionist just walked off.  Now I can understand that something urgent or a call of nature happens, but you very briefly smile, apologise, and say please see the other receptionist as I have an urgent duty.  When I finally got checked in by the other receptionist, and got to room, the adjoining room door was open and somebody else was staying there.  I returned to reception, and was told to go back to room and wait for house keeping to come and they would lock room.  I said that was absolutely unacceptable, and insisted on another room with no connecting door.  I also did not get an apology.  As is standard with Ibis, although it wasn't that warm, the air con even on full power didn't give a comfortable room temperatures for sleep.  Given the poor service, I won't be staying at this hotel again, and am reluctant to stay at any Accor property given the lack of service and the comfort of the room (too hot).
