My wife is set to have a total knee replacement in a few weeks. When we arrived we asked for a room on the first floor and were told by the manager that no first floor rooms were available. My wife had a very hard time walking up the outside stairs. I thus told the manager that we could not negotiate the stairs at which time she asked if we wanted to see a first floor room!!! I was so flummoxed at her earlier misrepresentations ( to be polite) that I declined to look at it telling her to “do what is right”. I honestly believed our $400 charge would be forgiven. To my knowledge this is the first time I have ever been lied to by a hotel manager. Wow.

We really felt pampered staying at the Salt Inn. Loved the stylish room which included all the amenities including earplugs, amazing smelling soaps and a very comfortable bed with crisp white cotton linens. The breakfast buffet was loaded with lots of tasty gourmet treats. The fresh lemon cornbread and the chia pudding with berries were two of my favorites. We'd definitely book here again!

A lovely first experience in Ptown

Though the room was small, it was very comfortable and clean. The quality of the bedding, towels and toiletries was terrific. The breakfasts were generous and very good with excellent variety. The location was convenient to all of the action in the center of town but still in a quiet enclave. And it is also close to the ferry. Michael, the host (owner?) was so very gracious. He was very helpful in pointing us to nice restaurants. And as it was raining on the day I left, he sent me home with one of their lovely umbrellas. I would definitely return there.

Favorite place in PTown but be aware of 1 sm room

I love the Salt House Inn. This was my third time staying there. I hope I can always stay there when in town. The only thing to be aware of is that room 12 is the smallest room on property and is very tight for two people. It's a queen size bed and you can barely walk around it. I've stayed in other rooms and think this is unique to just this one space on property.

I would stay at Salt Inn again no question about it! Steve and Michael are great hosts and the property is so well located away from the main strip but close enough to make it a convenient place to stay!

We loved Salt House Inn. It's a relatively small property, which meant we got personal attention when needed. The breakfast was lovely, the location is great (just a couple blocks to Commercial Street, the main thoroughfare, and to the beach). We were a little shocked that the daily rate doubled on the weekend, but perhaps that is true across the board in Provincetown, because this is a popular tourist destination. We found the other guests to be interesting conversationalists over breakfast and will stay in touch with some.
