Don’t want to sleep….this is your hotel

The walls are paper thin. Couldn’t get neighbor to stop music. Train RIGHT by the hotel and drag racing late night. NOT in a good spot for a good nights rest.

The Staff is friendly and helpful. The room its self is fine. Not really clean. The carpet could stand to be cleaned! It is nice that they had plenty of soap and towels you expect in a hotel room. The shampoo and lotion were great. Coming from Mexico my skin immediately dried out so i something to use! A train just went by right outside our room as I write this. Sure hope it’s the only one tonight. Wow! This will downgrade our stay immensely.

Once we were inside the room, things were fine. The bed was clean and incredibly comfortable. The AC worked great and the room was large and comfortable. Plenty of clean towels and space was nicely laid out. The property is older and the carpet in the lobby and hallway is pretty grungy. The only real issue we had was upon arrival. We arrived close to 11pm and were eager to get the bed. There was something strange going on at the front desk / lobby area. Apparently an employee who was leaving work had just been assaulted outside the motel and was on the phone to his mom. I felt terrible for him. The staff person checking me in seemed very confused by the computer system and took over 10 minutes to check us in. He (the employee checking us in) was doing nothing to help the other employee who had just been assaulted - I felt terrible for the kid. It was just a very weird and disconcerting entry to the hotel - made me wonder if the area and the property were safe.
