This property is actually one big complex of three resorts. The Ventus Ha is across the major resort road from the beach. The food was great at El Cid, and it's kid friendly. Drawbacks: spread out, no food at the pools, no food options at bars. Entertainment in the evenings was good and engaging for kids too, but seems like an afterthought since they just put chairs out in the grass. Also get your dinner reservations asap because there were not enough for all guests. Plenty of lobby and deck bars. The dinner buffet is good, but some of the other restaurants were outstanding. I will describe all three resorts here: Ventus Ha: on the lagoon side of the property. Includes: two large, quiet pools with zero entry, large hot tubs, no shade. One breakfast buffet, one full-service lunch, two full-service dinner, one rooftoop bar with pool. Ventus: large quiet pool with a zero entry area, two bridges, two waterfalls. Rooms with their own swim out pools facing the main pool area. Beach (more seaweed happening at Ventus than Marina, but they were working on it). Adult only pool with infinity edge facing beach, adult only hot tubs, deck, bars. Fitness center, spa. Kids club with fun activities. Pickleball center. Lunch food court that serves most of the 3 resorts'patrons 12-5. French restaurant. El Cid Marina: Dinner buffet. Main pool with resort entertainment & swim up bar, waterslide & jump. Rooftop bar. Watersports & dolphins available. Mexican and seafood restaurants.

The family room that we stayed in was very spacious and close to a pool that was never crowded. Although this was an all-inclusive there were some dining restrictions (Ex. fixed menu at Cobo) and the propoerty was a bit more disjointed than I expected. Still a good stay and would recommend.

Rooms were not clean at all, the food was below average, the service was ok but expected a tip every-time they helped you. The drinks were terrible, unless you like bar mix. There is always someone trying to sell you something. The most painful part was the “not a time share” presentation. If you want to go on an excursion you are better off paying the non-discounted cost and save yourself 2.5 hours listening to someone with a bad attitude trying to sell you something which very much looks and talks like a time share.

Beautiful, modern resort with tropical nature and very clean well maintained property. Excellent services, very nice staff, good food at all restaurants and buffets. Beautiful pools and pool areas. One of the best hidden gems. No complains about anything. We had great time at this resort twice and will come back again!

The property was beautiful and was clean. I didn’t realize there were 3 different lobbies, which created transportation issues (transportation going to the wrong lobby since I was unaware of the different lobbies and it didn’t specify on the booking I made). I wasn’t a fan of the Dolores restaurant, Akata was very nice. The hotel has different events going on each day and I tried setting up reservations SEVERAL times to one of the activities and had nothing but issues. After traveling to the different lobbies, as informed by Ana at Marina El Cid. I arrived to the Zanza bar as she informed me to do so, but was still unable to make reservations. I tried calling 8 times to schedule my reservations and kept being informed to call back in 10/15 mins. If reservations are required one shouldn’t have to go to a different area of the huge park to try and schedule reservations, just to be unable to do so. I obviously was very frustrated by this point and asked to speak to a manager several times, but was continently unavailable. One gentleman I spoke to was a reservation rep and I kept asking him to speak to a manager and REFUSED to transfer me. I also wanted to listen to the live Jazz music that was at the Marina el Cid lobby, but no one knew what time the event was happening and was left off of the event sheet. The process of scheduling reservations is completely disorganized and needs to be revamped. The hotel was beautiful, but probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the issues.

Situated in a unique and beautiful mangrove forest, the resort has gone to great measures to incorporate as much of nature into their stunning design. Animals played freely in the trees and crocodiles in the ponds. Always something to see! The food was excellent. An attention to detail and we never ran out of options from going to all three resorts. The pools were immaculate and there were so many places to choose from on the property if you wanted a quiet place to chill or if you wanted the party scene. We tried it all depending on our mood. The staff were abundant and so kind. The resort was always being cleaned or fixed up, so many hands working to keep the place at its best. The golf cart shuttles were incredibly fun and really nice if you didn’t want to walk but we were also surprised how manageable the walking distance was between the resorts. As a family of 5 we appreciated that Ventus Ha had a room large enough to accommodate us all. The only thing I would have really loved was a free shuttle to Puerto Morelos as it’s so close. But we took advantage of the nice bike tour they offered to explore the town a little bit. All around a 5 star experience. Best resort we have stayed at hands down.

10 years now of coming to El CID and each time it has been amazing! We love all the great food from Kobo to the Dolores. The staff is always pleasant and inviting. Each property has its own feel and we finally experienced Ha in the new building. Everything was in bloom and it was a perfect time to see it.
