Stayed three nights and four days. Eligible to eat at only one specialty restaurant during our stay. Unfortunately, the restaurants we wanted to eat at were either booked up or CLOSED!!!!! How can that be justified?? Won't stay here again.

Overall the resort had a nice relaxing pool area wasn't too busy. Nice access to there that wasn't always packed.It was nice and relaxing. Wasn't bothered by too many people trying to sell you thinear the beach. It's about a thirty minute drive in an uber into town. We loved our room and thought it had a pretty nice view as far as the right amount of trees and view to the ocean.

Stunning and easy for me to find all things. I usually struggle and get lost. I have a fair bit if lower back and walking pain and received room I asked for. Was located close to most 💗. No over vocal kids. Counter staff a bit ??? The rest of staff quite beautiful and helpful. I would go again and only bring my own pain meds I forgot 😊. Spa and massage was excellent. I didn’t do restaurants as buffet was close and good. Room service also good😊

They have four resrautrants but we can booked only two meals for five days stayed the time for reseration from 9 am to 5 pm .we came to reserveres at 9 am but they give us the time is 9 pm she said that is earlier one we can have dinner at the restaurant and when we check in to restaurant had to waitted for one hour to got our food .We wanted to order more food .He said the restautrant was closed for order . Two restautrants was the same way to serserved customers .On the last day we check out at 12 pm but our fly was at 6 pm shuttle meet us at 3 pm from 12 pm to 3 pm . The reception cuts a wrist strap on our hand told us have to stay at lobby for 3 hours can not go anywhere without any drind and food servers for us she said that .This is the first time we comes to this resort was a last time never go back again .Thank you .

Despite the reviews days before our trip was coming up we decided to go and couldn’t be any happier with our decision. Smooth check in, friendly staff Rooms were pretty large, very clean, good ocean view Facilities overall pretty good; pool staff very friendly and drink selection was pretty much ad expected Italian and Japanese restaurants have good selection and excellent service Buffet selection was good, specially sea food; could be warmer but any shortcoming is made up by the staff; great service

I really loved our week at the Barcelo. A couple things to note, as I think some visitors may want to know. The a le carte restaurants book out quickly. We found the steakhouse challenging to book, as the premium guests get first priority. We managed to get a booking for 8:30pm which was the earliest available. Not a problem, but worth noting. If you want to do excursions there are great options but there will be extended travel time as it takes a while to drive to the excursions from the resort. The tour company is based out of puerto Vallarta so you will be travelling at least an hour longer in a shuttle than the hotel pick up is in puerto Vallarta. Once again, not an issue for us but worth knowing. Otherwise the resort has great food, is simple and quiet. We loved it.
