The Blue Chairs is starting to show its age. First off I wasn’t able to get a second room keycard without paying an additional $50. Lucky for me the door didn’t totally latch so a slight bump would open it. I reported the issue to the front desk and they said they’d fix it. It was never fixed. The entire week we went careless just taping the door to open it. I’d also like to mention this is a room we upgraded to paying an additional $750 for the week on site. I’ll never stay at blue chairs again but the location was perfect for this trip.

Fabulous place to be (dude)gay on a beach!

We sprung for a couple days of ocean front sun soaked honeymoon in PV. Got there and the 1st floor room they gave us wasn't quite what we expected from the site photos. We asked a wonderful man named Arturo if there was any possibility of switching to a higher room for our second night and he came through for us in a BIG way. We had such a wonderful and romantic time with a gorgeous view after that. Additionally, the area was great, the drag shows on the upstairs bar deck were so much fun, and the beds were very comfortable. Our only major note is that although this is an LGBT+ space, its still very much a mans world. My wife and I had a really hard time getting any help or service from the beach staff. Kind of thought we might be invisible to them, honestly. It's was a crowded area for sure, not much view when using the advertised blue chairs. Unless you really prefer seeing speedos over the actual ocean. If thats the case, you're gonna LOVE this place. Just be prepared to flex your louder lesbian voice if you want a drink or some food on the beach.

I little hidden gem.

It was a great hotel. It's a little outdated. It met all my needs. Great WiFi. Staff was excellent and friendly. I enjoyed my stay. It was a great location.

This was our first time staying in PV. The staff at blue chairs were exceptional. The property was very tired. The first room we were given had mold and a leaking shower head that spread across the ceiling. There was not anywhere to put clothes in a dresser, and it was bare minimum at best. The second room was better but still had mold and was seemingly falling apart. Granted we did not pay much but the property pictures are not what are represented. Additionally, the nest did not even have a blanket or comforter. Only one sheet. The pools are hardly pools and need serious care and renovations. We were very pleased with the location, the staff, and beach bar/restaurant. We would not stay at the property or recommend it to anyone to stay there. It was truly a place to sleep and shower.

So this is an older building with odds and ends on wonky things. I hit on the laundry machine dying and being replaced. LOUD. But it’s basically an all gay male hotel. Clean rooms. Liked the staff a lot. They ding you $1000 peso - $50 USD to register “a new guest” if you invite someone to your room. Apparently all the hotels do. Access to beach great. Fellow travellers pleasant and good eye candy. If I go back to PV, most likely I would go back to Blue Chairs

This hotel needs better maintenance. Broken stairs...burnt out lights. Our room had a leaking sink that they did nothing to fix. The hot water was on...then off....then on. They advertised safes in rooms but there are none. The pool area wasn't cleaned once the whole week we were there. This hotel has alot of potential to be an awesome stay...just need to put some effort into it. The staff were amazing...very friendly and welcoming.

run-down, dated, dump

This place is basically a run-down dump in desperate need of updating. On a busy weekend I booked the penthouse an paid through the nose for it. I was expecting something decent for $450/night. What I got a was very run-down, Motel 6 feel. The refrigerator didn't work, nothing has been painted in decades, it was a very uncomfortable stay. I definitely would not stay here again.

The property has let The rooms go shabby. we understood that the property had remodeled the rooms and the pictures they show on Expedia are artificially enhanced. The actual room needs a complete remodel they're not in good shape.
