The Mountain View pool was very nice and warm The ocean and views were quite nice The maid/food/bartender service was very good The rooms were ok, but ours had no fridge ( should have looked before booking) Check in went ok, but I don’t think they gave me my pool cards because when we got to our rooms it was already late so we just went down for supper and then came back to the rooms. The next morning when I looked for my pools cards there were none so went down to front desk to find out, they said they gave them ( they charged me 1000 pesos for new ones(2) that is scamming people) Front desk service was very poor when it came to any maintenance requests. We traveled with my son and his wife and 4 young kids and in their room their safe and internet was not working. Several request were made for them to come and fix them, they always said yes but never came to even have a look. The safe in our room also went into error half through our stay and we experience the same thing, no one came to look The A La Carts were just ok, Italian being the one we liked best of the 3 (Mexican/Surf&Turf) The buffet was between (poor and mediocre) at best, not a whole lot to choose from compared to other all inclusive That we have been to, and it certainly wasn’t user friendly for families with younger children as they was only 1 line in the buffet to stand in and not a lot of choice for younger kids Only 2 bottles of water in rooms, then you had to keep filling them at hotel lobby Won’t Return

I really appreciated how clean and well maintained the property is. Restaurants were decent for the price. Pools were clean and well maintained. Hospitality was excellent. Only opportunity was room service communication. We had ordered and a couple times they said our account was on hold and that we couldn't order. When i would ask the front desk they would tell me its fine and there is no problem.

I have done lots of travelling so comparing to other resorts. Pros: lots of chairs around the pool, available until mid to late morning where other hotels you had to be up at 6:00 to get a chair. Camelino was part of the pool entertainment crew he was awesome this was his first week working there and he made our stay so much better. They need him. Food was delicious with lots of variety.close to downtown. Rooms were ok. Cons: we booked for 4 people in a room and consistently only got 3 towels. There are no face cloths. I got used to all hotels moving to upgraded shampoo and body wash dispensers this one is way behind. No fridge. Again booked room for four people and only had 2 water bottles in the room and had to pay for the others if needed. I asked for a cot upon booking we never got one and there was no room for one. Entertainment in the evening was late, if I had young kids again it would be too late for us. I wasn’t a fan of the entertainment comparing to all other resorts I’ve been to. Small beach area something that is out of their control, chairs fill up before 8:00, not sure what time you would have to be up for them. Upon arrival staff weren’t overly friendly as what I am used to. Again comparing to other resorts.

No fridge in the room was a disappointment for such a nice room. Got two free bottles of warm water for my 2 week stay though. Overall it’s a nice place, food was mediocre except for the fact they have 4 other restaurants available which helped. Staff were very nice! My second stay at this hotel, first one 2 years ago was better.

Canto Del Sol is generally very good but dated. Close to shopping and the Centro area. The staff were great. The food is mainly Mexican fare, if you don't like mexican food this is not the place for you. There are specialty restaurants and they were excellent, especially the Italian restaurant. There were a lot of kids at the hotel, so if you are adverse to loud noises and swimming with kids, this place is not for you. We vacationed there in late November 2024

A family destination, lots of children, not as many staff able to converse in English. I have food allergies and it was difficult to get information about the food being served. I simple ate what I knew was safe but I would have liked to try more Mexican cuisine. I like being in the city and having beach access.
