We stayed for 4 days and it was nice, we never struggled to find a place to sunbathe, never took too long to find a table at the buffets, and we liked the food and the drinks. The only inconvenience is the check in and check out process, took a lot of time and was a very cumbersome.

Amazing food! The buffet was always good and the staff are so kinda. Beach area, main pool with swim up bar, smaller pool with bar across the roundabout closer to our mountain room, kids pool by tennis courts, second breakfast buffet on mountain side too, tennis courts, gym, lobby bar. We loved it here! This resort is centrally located within the bay and is walking distance to many amenities. VERY SAFE off resort. We walked around and did some shopping and went to the grocery store. There is also a karaoke bar across the street from this resort. We took the Glorias city bus (10 pesos = $0.50) heading south to the boardwalk. Did some shopping at an outdoor market and had lunch by the sea at an outdoor restaurant. We also did a jungle zip lining excursion that included lunch. No matter where we ate the food was always amazing, even in the middle of the jungle by a waterfall.

This is false advertisement. I booked at this resort in hopes of staying there? We get there, took almost an hour to check in and nobody tells me where my room is until i had to ask. Then we get escorted out of the resort, into an entirely different building. The only things in our room were 2 bottles of water and that was it. No coffee, no snacks or anything like in the photo. We asked for water and they wanted to charge us extra. Wasnt this supposed to be all inclusive? We ended up finding a store so we can have bigger bottles of water and get snacks considering we werent even on the resort. We went to stay for new years, the staff didnt even tell us we had to sign up for the new years party and dinner, we were told by others who were staying at the resort. Considering this is why we went, why werent we told about having to sign up? When we finally asked, we were told to wait by a certain area and be there for 9am. We get there, and then were told 10am. 10:10am came around and still nobody so we had to ask AGAIN. This place has no communication, no hospitality, no nothing. Even the staff look miserable there. Ive been to mexico many times before and have never been treated this poorly. Ive never stayed in any room, where they dont supply coffee in the morning. Even dingy motels here where i live, give you coffee or drinks in your room. It took 3 days into our trip, for a staff member to come up to us and ask if we wanted anything. I will never come back here again.

Check in took over two hours in a line that went all the way down the hall. When we finally got checked in we tried to book restaurants for our stay since we paid for all inclusive. There was only 1 day out of 6 we could eat at a restaurant. We had to go off resort and pay out of pocket for dinners the other 5 nights. The front counter wanted us to pay for waters. The cleaning staff was great! They got to our rooms every day with a smile and very polite. The guys at the entrance were very polite and helpful. We will not be back. Don’t feel like we got close to our moneys worth. This is our tenth time going all inclusive to Puerto Vallarta. This was our worse experience so far.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Canto del Sol, Puerto Vallarta, where my husband and I spent 10 nights. I am not happy at all with my stay. Unfortunately, the food is a bit disappointing. The facilities are outdated. There is only one elevator, and it is very far from the room we were assigned. The quality of the drinks and cocktails is very poor. The staff was very kind and tried to help and do their best. Our room had a very bad smell.

Just the right balance of families and adult activity. Lots of dining options and lovely pools. Ocean access was excellent and we felt safe from sun up to sunset. Easy to leave the resort and explore- no pressure to book excursions.

Have you heard the expression quality over quantity? Canto Del Sol resort definitely does not take this in consideration when filling their hotel. I feel that they have misrepresented themselves. First off we were placed in a hotel I would call an overflow as it was across the street from the hotel. It was dark and dingy as you walk down the hallway with lights burnt out. All pleasantry has now left our sight. As we open the door we see curtains not even strung on their hooks, rusted and dirty looking. As you take and open these curtains you see a 6 inch balcony with the doors held closed by two sticks on either side. There is garbage on the ground in the parking lot (it took them 3 days to clean it up despite having a garbage truck there nightly). In the light you see the bedding is smudged and dirty. The utensils in the kitchen had dusty old cob webs strewn across the utensils. Come night time 11:00 pm (this becomes our nightly serenade for the next 4 nights) loud sqealing of garbage being compacted for an hour by a garbage truck directly below us. Finally after midnight we fall asleep only to be woken at 6:00am to the leaf blower and the tour busses rolling by. They say a room isn’t everything but I’ll tell you a good sleep is! The food was so dry it was inedible or there were just empty bowls and serving dishes! I feel this place is fraudulent in what you get as opposed to what is advertised online! I’d like to have this rectified please! I do have pictures and sound.

We had a lovely time! Restaurant staff were very friendly and other staff were busy cleaning and working hard to make the place ready for so many people. The food was very nice! Front desk was slow and maybe a bit overwhelmed, and our AC air smelled moldy. It was PACKED over the holidays and we would have liked more shaded comfortable seating for reading/games and other non-swimsuit related activities! Overall a great all inclusive experience.

Perfect for culture. It felt like an authentic Mexican stay. The food was fine. Not special but exactly what you might expect if you are having breakfast at your Mom’s house. I was looking forward to the swim up pool but it turns out they don’t actually use the swim up side.

The property was excellent. The food was lovely. The front desk staff was not friendly. One staff named Brenda was the only nice staff that helped us. The cleaning staff was also very nice. The front desk needs training on how to deal with people of different cultures and languages.
