The property is very nice. However, the room definitely needs to be remodeled. The included breakfast and 15 minute massage was absolutely amazing! Overall our stay was nice.

Our stay at Casa Donna Susana was amazing. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The hotel is small and beautiful. It was like staying in the 1950s. The hotel was quite each night with no noise. We choose the all inclusive option. Best way to stay. You have access to the buffet which was small but hand cooked to order. All meals were enjoyable. Beach access was easy with staff helping with everything. Staying here, you are walking distance to everything. We will be coming back soon

I have stayed here before. I love this quaint hotel. The roof top pool is great! Lots of comfy longers with a bar for drinks and food. The entire staff are AMAZING. Tatiana, Silverton thank you. The rooms are clean, nothing fancy and quite small. However we were upgraded and our unit had a fully stocked kitchenette. The beds are very FIRM. The room was nice and quiet and provided me a wonderful sleep. We received an upgrade which included a room upgrade, breakfast at the sister hotel los arcos and a free 15 min massage. All of which were fantastic. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Done to order pancake, french toast and egg stations. Along with a huge selection of food. Something for everyone. I love Casa Dona... in fact I'm returning for Christmas!

Great location about two blocks from the beach and one can use the amenities at Los Arcos. The rooftop pool is nice, but take care as it's slippery on the floor. My room was spacious and clean, though quite noisy directly opposite the elevator and with street noise, so bring earplugs. Food at Los Arcos is good with decent selection and hours. The snack bar upstairs at Casa Dona Susana is open for limited hours and the menu is somewhat deceptive - only the items with a pale yellow star is included if you're on the AI meal plan (eyeroll). Although the hotel indicates they offer exchange services, front desk staff were not helpful in breaking a 100 peso bill which makes tipping staff challenging (yet they'll insist you need a porter for your small wheelie carryon). Good supply of drinking water provided.

We’ve been coming to Casa Doña for years and it keep getting better! The room upgrade was very nice, huge room, large comfy bed and loved the large shower. Perfect water pressure, easy to use a/c and enough English channels to keep us entertained those few times we were watching. Nice sized fridge, coffee maker and a very nice sized balcony. The daily breakfast is always delicious and it’s an easy walk to the beach and Malecon. Rooftop pool has comfy sun loungers and a cute cafe…reasonable prices, too! Love it here, keep up the good work!

We stayed at the Casa Dona Susana in mid October. We had stayed at the Los Arcos suites across the street five years ago with a balcony facing CDS and thought we would like to give it a try one time. I remember reading reviews of CDS back then and the only negative review I remember was someone who got a small room with no windows. Well, when we checked in we got a small room with one window facing a wall and the other window facing the hallway. So we checked with the front desk and luckily they had a few much larger rooms with balconies and we were able to switch, just had to pay for the difference in room price. The big bonus of staying at either the CDS or Los Arcos suites, is you have access to the beach and amenities of the Los Arcos Hotel. CDS is a really nice boutique hotel located a block off the beach and walking distance to all of the best restaurants in the Romantic Zone. A bonus is their roof top pool which is a nice quite place to cool down in the pool or get some sun in one of the loungers. Wifi was good but it only worked on our iPhones, but not our Android tablets.

It's a beautiful property and the staff were great. The windows in our room had a film on them so we were not able to look out. Just made it feel dark. My bed was very firm and quite uncomfortable. I would stay again as we enjoyed the property and the area.

I was upgraded to a suite for free. Since I booked through Expedia, I also received a free breakfast buffet each day at their sister hotel, which was well worth it. There was also a free 15 in massage that I didn't take advantage of.

As far as hotels go, this was definition our worst stays. The musty odor was horrible and a leaky humidifier was the only option to try which didn’t work. Our clothes smelled so bad when we left. Beds are old and it is run down.

A very typical older traditional hotel. Bed was quite hard. Bonus points for a nice rooftop with comfy loungers at the pool, and a cute bar area. Downside- no area down in the lobby to sit and wifi in the rooms, of course, was poor. This hotel gives you access to their beach side hotel as well, and there are more nice pools and beach service there to enjoy. All the staff were very nice and helpful.

Very lovely staff and the room was wonderful and charming. Just right for one or two people. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to allow at least one guest over to visit and also enjoy the wonderful spaces. I know the hotel restricts this for safety purposes. It would just be nice to share the experience with others. Responsibly, of course. Great place overall!
