This resort is unique in that it is very urban once you step outside the front doors. Once inside, it is typical of an AI resort in most ways. I agree with other guests that the wonderful part of this resort is the staff. They work so hard to ensure you have a great time. Is the resort dated? Yes Does the resort have very limited options other than the buffet three times a day? Yes Would you like to feel welcomed and listened to with any query or question? Yes The staff at this resort especially Nancy as a manager of guest services only wants you to be satisfied with your stay. So if you want to come to this resort, keep in mind your expectations should match the price you paid. I enjoyed my time thoroughly and felt privileged to be served especially from the cleaning staff who made the impossible look and feel clean especially by North American standards. Bravo. Sure an easy walk to their beach space was a hassle but you could take a shuttle and I hated that there wasn’t any restroom there but you know it before you go. Also to be remarked upon is the location of the resort. It’s a super quick trip from the airport and yet if you want a place where you have access to all stores and amenities, which also means traffic and noise you should book this resort. Don’t book it if you’re disabled or have any food issues as the stairs / lack of ramps and elevator would be an issue. I enjoyed my time.

Nice staff & good food. However all the rooms I saw were listed at 376 - 474 sq ft and they were not even close to that, they were MUCH smaller. It also lists 3 restaurants, but I was told multiple times there were only 2, and one was just a basic snack bar, the other was a buffet. (That said, the buffet was good.) Whoever took pictures of this place for the Orbitz website deserves an award, the property does not look nearly this nice.

The rooms are really old, the bathroom was falling apart, the staff and service was good most of the time, I won’t come back to this hotel there’s better options for the same price but still not a bad hotel it just needs renovations and at least a mini fridge in the room

When on a solo trip and first time here everyone was friendly when I arrived. Nice location and everyone was nice, the food was good. Loved how the pool is open til 8pm. Loved everyone and bartenders drinks and service was good. The room was nice had a nice King bed with a small balcony. Loved my stay here and would go back again.

Overall service across all areas was great, plus great swimming pool area. Dinner time at the buffet was excellent specially when they offered the sea food options. What we didn’t like was the bedroom. Totally outdated, and little dangerous as the floor is unleveled between the beds area from the rest of bedroom. We were also disappointed the beach was two blocks away, however there is a shuttle running there every 10 mins and it is easy to get to.

I loved the authentic feel of the resort. It felt like a little town. The staff are amazing! I also liked that it wasnt crazy party vibes and much more mellow. More families and locals. The area around the resort doesnt look the nicest but still safe and convenient with lots of shopping near by. It was nice to have beach access as well. The big sell on this place is the staff and local buffet food which i loved. Will visit again!!

When we first arrived at the hotel we were disappointed because when we booked with thought that the hacienda was much more updated and the food was better quality. The services and cleanliness overall good! Just disappointed because the beach was not near the hotel, hotel was a bit outdated and the quality of foot was not the greatest. The pictures on the reservation showed much better food presentation.

If you are checking out this property, then it’s likely because of the price. I thought it would be a charming old, yet well maintained hotel. It’s architecture is charming, but the hotel is NOT well maintained. We had days of the AC not working with humid and blazing hot weather. They do not have a mini split, they have an old central ac that fails. I was warned by someone that took their family here and I didn’t listen. I took a chance and it was very unpleasant. The day before we left the AC failed and after waiting from 10pm to 1am and the maintenance guy never showing up, we were moved to another room. It was around 2am and we were exhausted. Guess what happened next? The next room didn't have a working AC either. And to add insult to injury, the front desk lady tried to imply the AC failed in the first room cause we touched the thermostat. HA! Even though ALL the rooms had non working ACs and everyone kept losing water due to their old systems losing power, she had the audacity to blame the guest. The only good thing about this hotel was the service provided by the restaurant and bar staff. They are kind and polite. But the hotel has leaks everywhere, broken tile, old mismatched furniture, failing air conditioners, old towels, and practically no parking. We had good food choices ONLY on Saturday’s Fiesta Mexicana. When my relative went 3 years ago, at least the food was good. Now it’s only once a week. Spend a little more and have a pleasant stay elsewhere

only one restratrant, not three. the other one has the same food as the buffet and if you want other food you have to pay an additional price, even if your all inclusive. one night it was Mexican buffet night, they had tacos (very good) I asked the waiter if there was guacamole he said no, you have to pay $5 (usd) for a side of guacamole, which is crazy . a lot smaller than the pictures show, on the website it looks like it has two pools however there is only one, just a lot different than expected especially for the price.

The place looks very cozy and charming. The buffet was good and appetizing. The pool was full of people on the weekend I went. The room was clean but there was a distinct old musty smelly. The door latch lock was missing and the sliding doors to the terrace didn't lock.
