This was our first time staying at the Krystal. We are seniors. We usually stay at a 5 star resort and decided to try a different place this year. We knew this was a resort that served families and we had to adjust our expectations. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and gracious. We were impressed with how tasty the food was at the buffet. However, they seemed to run out of food often. The adult pool was nice, but it was kind of a long, treacherous walk to get there. The facility seemed older than it actually was and needed many repairs...the tile floor was chipped and broken in many areas. The tables in the buffet were wobbly and often had no settings in place, and were dirty. They didn't seem to have enough staff available to keep up with the number of people cycling through. We realized that the buffet was a place to eat and not dine. (We were accustomed to tablecloths being used, along with cloth napkins for at least the evening meal.) Our room had a great view of the ocean and overlooked the family pools. Each night, there was an entertainment stage set up in the courtyard right below our room. We were on the 6th floor and the music was loud. Our experience was not that favorable and we probably won't return.

Door hinges disgustingly rusty. Very outdated bathroom. View was beautiful. "VIP" check in takes you to a lower level creepy hallway. We got gold bracelets which means you're "VIP" very quickly learned there was little to no difference between the other wristband colors. At the time of our stay they were also doing construction with very loud power tools at peak hours. The good thing was there was plenty of loungers on the beach. Restaurants that you have to reserve all tasted the same. I would recommend sticking to the buffet.

Check in was 3! Didn’t get my room til 530 or so! Asked for late check out they said yes then the day of said no! Which is ridiculous! Then I had housekeeping come 5x early morning while sleeping. Then one of them entered my room while I was naked about to shower! Only 2 restaurants were open out of all of them. Only 2 bars were open out of all! Had I known the aforementioned id have booked elsewhere. The property is beautiful The woman who helped me in the Altitude lounge was amazing Love the pools especially the infinity pool on the beach! Rooms are really nice! Great view!

Overall the hotel was beautiful and put together nicely. The pool scenes was amazing, I love that they had family pool and then an adult pool, the buffet was delicious. However just a couple things I did not like was watching others eat in the pool, it was windy so the food spilled inside, when it was time to do aerobics the instructor was very pushy. I go to relax not work out. If I said no then leave it at that. Then the doble beds, me and my husband slept in separate beds the entire trip cause the beds were too small.

Pros: good for families. I appreciated the coffee shop with expresso. The food & staff at The Grill were great! Cons: It advertised 4 restaurants, but there was only the Grill and Buffet. The buffet food was not good, neither was the dried out lunch (burgers, fries, & fish tacos). The room smelled musty and a fire alarm woke us a few times. Only 2 pools (kids and adult). The adult pool was very nice, but our 13yr and 16yr old couldn't go in so they were stuck with the little kids. Also, lots of Mexicans, which brought a different vibe.
