Overall decent. The food options were really good. Limited pool availability with only 2 pools and they were very crowded. Not a lot of shade.The hotel is right on the beach though too so easy access there. The lunch options here aren't very good I would recommend using the Vallarta for lunch and they have a lot more options for pool too.

I went out relaxed came back and it was a new staff member 🙏 that got me after that and she was amazing if it would’ve been for her I don’t think I would’ve stayed there

The food was terrible and not replenished enough. It’s the only time I’ve gone on vacation and actually lost weight. The hotel is ridiculously loud - I was woken by construction noise every day I was there. Constant parties and loud guests. It’s extremely difficult to find shady lounge chairs at the pool because it is overcrowded, and the beach has ZERO sun coverage unless you RENT an umbrella from a stall not related to the hotel. I strongly advise you to pick a different hotel. So disappointing and a waste of my money.

Mi esposo y yo pasamos unos dias muy bonitos, disfrutando la comodidad de el hotel, habitacion limpia, fresca etc. Los entretenimientos durante el dia y los de las noches son excelentes. El personal es muy amable, te hacen sentir bienvenido y atendido. La comida podria mejorarse en presentacion, sabor, calidad y frescura. (Algunos platillos parecen reciclados con sobras, y sobre cocinados. En un desayuno pusieron en la barra de comida una bandeja de aguacates pasados de maduros con manchas grandes cafes nada agradable de ver o comer) lo bueno es que tienen estaciones de comida en vivo con un personal muy amable. El restaurant frente a la playa es excellente en calidad,menu y sobre todo attencion del personal. Nuestra unica recomendacion seria incorporar 2 o 3 meseros mas en las horas mas ocupadas. El bar cerca de la recepcion es muy recomendable El Bartender atiende muy bien rapido ademas de capasitar a su personal para asegurarte unas bebidas variadas muy deliciosas. La amabilidad y buen humor de los bartenders en el area de las piscinas y area de shows compensa q en horas picos no puedes distinguir entre el sabor de una margaria, mojito o paloma. Eso es compresible pues hay mucha demanda de bebidas. Sinembargo los bartenders y meseros siempre dan su 100% en servicio. Esta fue nuestra segunda visita en Riu y ya estamos planeando la tercera para el proximo año.

The furniture and decorations in the place are a little dated, but that doesn't bother us much since we are a group who enjoys spending time outdoors. We mainly need a place just to sleep after our adventures. However, I want to point out that the shower area can be slippery, so it’s important to be careful if you have kids with you. Other than that, everything else is pretty good, and we are having a nice time overall.

Great food and great service. I just wish that they musician/ band will play longer so i can still enjoy the night longer. And they play other music not just Mexicans songs. Still a great hotel to stay! Kudos to the staff and crew

The sunsets were amazing and beach was nice. Staff worked so hard and tried to make it fun for guests. Nightly activities were a bonus. Facilities were very dated, there was not a door to the bathroom where the shower was located. Food was not very good. It could feel very crowded.

There is only one elevator area, which meant endless lines to get to your room. Also, at breakfast time, the two restaurants at the RIU Jalisco were not enough to provide service.And the lines for breakfast were endless. There weren't enough seats on the entertainment stage to watch the show.
