The room smelt very strong of mold and was extremely damp. The food was horrible, many bugs and fly’s around the food until you swarm them off. Upon check in.. I asked if we needed to make a reservation for a specific restaurant, we knew the restaurant itself was an additional charge, they had a digital menu to choose from with the prices. Dinner for two would average about $50. (Super reasonable for steak). The front desk said “that menu is not available, fixed menu and $90 for both of you, you pay right now or charge to the room, and it’s only steak or lobster and unsure of what sides they would be serving” We ended up walking to the restaurant to check it out.. and the host said.. “its not possible to make reservations and it’s not a fixed menu and it’s not $90, prices are on the menu based on what you want”… same restaurant.. Anyways, called the guy that booked it for us and he said “ok I cancel for you”… I don’t even understand what he was booking and he just wrote on a piece of paper $90.00 “reservation” and had me sign. Anyways won’t be returning, mostly because of the room mold smell/dampness and the food was below average even for an all inclusive. They purposely act like they can’t fully understand you to try and get away with making money on extras.

The staff is very nice specially at the sunclub reception. I bought a boat ride from Ramon who works by the pool side and what an amazing experience! The food in the buffet is top notch. Believe me you will love staying here! Thanks Steve from reception for being helpful!

Amazing place. Specially if you have kids! The buffet could be better but everything else is perfect. I checked in at the sunset club and what a great team. The beach is also nice. The sports bar + disco are nice too.

Staff was friendly and very hard working but many details were missed/ not clear/incorrect. Information should be clearly given (map, schedule of activites, menus and times) Rules should be reinforced such as reserving lounge chairs that were not used for most of the day. Rooms should be ready and deep cleaned. My room lock was not working and i found a cockroach in it. The staff made me walk back and forth instead of dealing it with it.

Lovely hotel with great beach and pools, lovely staff and fantastic food and drink selection. The rooms are big and super comfortable. Only held off 5 stars as there was nothing really to walk out and see, but if you are happy staying on site you will not be disappointed.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana was a very pleasant surprise in ‘almost’ every way. Our ONLY complaint was the check in. We arrived an hour early so we did the check in process they told us to come back at 3:00 to get our key. At 3:00, there were 20 to 30 people in the room, passports were all over every available desk space and it seemed like chaos. We had to wait over an hour until I finally pressed someone to confirm our room was ready and to find our key. This didn’t leave us feeling very optimistic for our two-night stay. OK…that was the bad. Now I want to say that with that one exception, this resort surprised us in every way. We prefer adults only. If the resort had an adults only section, we would go back to this place for certain. We never had the opportunity to try any specialty restaurants but the buffet was fabulous for every meal, the pools were wonderful and the beach was like every other resort. The room was beautiful, was kept very clean, nice shower plus a Jacuzzi tub. If they had an adults section, we would definitely return.
