*** LONG REVIEW *** PLEASE READ!! I am going to be very honest, do not stay at this resort. The food is terrible, and all of the restaurants do not open up everyday. The pool which is imoirtant at a resort is also closed at 6pm everyday. The alcohol does not rate like the alcohol from home because the alcohol percentage is 35%, while the USA is 40%. Checking in was very smooth, I was walked around the property to be shown everything I needed. The hiccup came when my room was not the room that Expedia advertised. Yes, that’s not the hotels fault but I still felt like I should have been acclimated for what I thought I booked. My friends room: They were locked out for 1hr and we end up missing an important event. My other friends room lights went out every night; with no explanation. My room was the only room to have slippers and robes. Their rooms did not have anything of the sort. Restaurants: Italian was the best we had maybe a 6/10. Lasagne was soup and the Margarita pizza was just cheese with a slice of tomato. The steakhouse made me want to cry, steaks were not at the right temperatures, “mash potatoes” were just boiled and mashed, no salt, butter, cream nothing! The best thing there were the onion rings 2/10 We couldn’t go to the Indian restaurant because it was closed on certain days. Beware that the beaches here have ALOT of seaweed and it smells horrible!!! We tried walking along the shoreline and I literally almost passed out.

I normally don’t write reviews, but it was vital I do it for this location. I’ve been to the Royalton chic in Mexico which was by far so much better!! From the beginning of my stay here , it started off well, our” butler “showed us a tour of the facilities and what they have. Upon that we were told that we have to go through him or the concierge to make any reservations for the restaurants on site & only for day of ! Mind you some restaurants only open some days . There is no elevator, although they do bring your luggage’s to your room for you. The AC is poor, even worse during the night time & The water pressure is low. The bathroom… I’ll let the pics speak for itself . Now for the food services I will say for the munchies Grill, the attendance were very nice however when it comes to the buffet and some of the restaurants, you may not get the best service unless you lead with your money first. This was just a personal observation. I love to treat people, especially if I’m in someone else’s country however I don’t think it’s fair to have to accommodate someone for subpar service. Any extra attentive needs may not be given. I asked for a blow dryer and never got it. It was my birthday, my spouse ask several times to have the room decorated as well as something for me which was not done. I got pictures taken professionally with the staff at the hotel only to find out the minimum was 20 pictures for $300 and only two to be printed, money grab!

I loved the resort the but the women workers just stare at you a never say and not say a word to you. I was there for 4 days for my birthday recently a they don’t even say hello just the men an it’s quite awkward. Food was okay and the resort was very nice!

Downfall is the food. Buffet was small and pretty much the same the three days I stayed as for the specialty dinning it was no better and maybe cause it was the beginning of the week or slow they only had one open at a time so you had go by their schedule for dining options. Place was decent but watch out for the “time share” type pitch they try to get you to do as your trying to walk around.

The property is too outdated to be called lixury and the price should be lower. Property had rust and is outdated. They only have the pools and nightly entertainment. Most restaurants were not open. Not alot of options of food at the buffet. The TV worked when it wanted to. Our last day the water pressure in the shower was very low. The resort was clean and service was great and the people were nice! But it's not worth the price or the word luxury!

The staff was friendly, and I liked that it was a smaller resort. But with that being said, the price was just as much as the larger resort with fewer options. The buffet was extremely small and limited, and the food was often dried out and meat tuff. Limited restaurant options, and the food there was not that great. The activities team was not good about engaging people or having things going on outside of the Aquafit team they were great. The night activities started too late, leading up to the disco, and again were not very engaging. The drinks were also not that great. The pool was nice, but it had lots of sand in it. They never seemed to try and get out when they "cleaned" it, and the beach was crappy, we just stayed at the pool every day.

It was very nice to have an adults only stay in the DR. The Expedia Ambassador, Deivid and a resort representative I’ve. These two gentleman were amazing!!! Marriott should be ashamed of themselves, the beach was horrible, seaweed all over, clearly our resort wasn’t even trying to clean it up. The food deserves a 2 out of 5 stars. The room was nice and tidy but could be cleaner. The hospitality of the staff was amazing as well as Caesar our shuttle driver, wonderful. Would recommend going some place else. The food and resort need a major upgrade. I did have a good time, but my husband and I both agreed to stay some place else.

I understand why people like this place. If everything went well this would have been an amazing weekend. If we were assigned the room type on the floor we requested it would have been wonderful. If the room were completely clean without stains on the walls, this would have been great. If there wasn’t mold on the vents, the ceiling, the curtains, or in the closet in our room, this would have been a wonderful stay. If the concierge staff provided viable solutions to the major issue of pervasive mold in the room, rather than making us feel like compensation for these major issues in addition to a solution to the problem were unreasonable, we would have had a marvelous time! If I didn’t have to leave the room at 3am because we became ill from exposure to the mold pouring from the vents, surrounding us and saturating the room, and ask for a new room now rather than tomorrow, we would have enjoyed this location immensely. Mold in our room made us sick. If I didn’t see how significant an issue this is for the resort, noticing mold in almost every public restroom, or perceive the same damp smell in a friend’s room it would have been lovely. If I couldn’t see evidence of deterioration throughout the resort including holes in walls, outlet hanging from cabana walls, rusted roofs, multiple resort bathrooms that are out of order, the pool bar missing its edge, and more, then it could have been a wonderful place for a vacation. But, alas, all the ifs add up to a less than wonderful

I recently stayed at Royalton CHIC Punta Cana for a few days with family and loved the adults-only vibe. The service was hands down the best I’ve experienced at any resort, friendly, attentive, and consistent. Housekeeping was excellent, and the beds were super comfortable. The food, however, could use improvement. The buffet was limited, the specialty restaurants were just okay, and overall, the options felt minimal. The in-room TV also needs an upgrade, poor picture quality, weak volume, and bad glare made it hard to watch unless I closed the blinds. On the bright side, the Wi-Fi worked great, and the nighttime entertainment was a highlight. The daytime DJ could switch things up a bit, but the energy around the pool was fun. If the food and in-room tech get a refresh, I’d definitely come back!

The food was terrible and the rooms were not what they say on the website. I didn't like the experience at all. The air conditioning in the rooms didn't work and they didn't do anything to fix it. I spent those days there. It was terrible. I don't recommend it.

I stayed at the Royalton Chic from 7/17/25-7/22/25 Over all Id give it a 3/5. The resort itself appeared clean and kept. But you can definable tell it’s pretty old. I stay on the 1st floor of building 5. The room I stayed it was a single King bed. The room appeared very lived in. Wall defects, scratches and dents on the furniture surfaces. The check-in process was seamless as I arrived around 4pm. I was given my room Key right away and escorted to my room. The food 😬. What can I say….it was All inclusive resort food. But I was able to pick from the variety items that suited me as I am not a picky eater. The best restaurant was Tandori in my opinion. It was the Indian restaurant. There weren’t really any chaises for late night eats from what I could tell. I didn’t even bother with room service and I request ICE twice and the first time it never came, and the 2nd time it took over an hr. The Sushi restaurant was closed for renovations. I was a bit of an eye sore I must say. But they used to Buffet to supplement. The service was great! Marcos at the pool Bar was amazing! He took care of my guest and I the entire time. Even made sure we remembered to eat in between the day drinking lol. Gustavo was also great Marcos. The pool music was Meh….. so I often brought my portable speaker around with me. The resort entertainment was meh. But I’m not really into generic dance shows and things like that. But people seamed to be entertained! The WiFi was suitable.
