Room was just okay, you can tell they made repairs. However not great repairs. show area was dirty, left over hair. The cleaning staff and personal butler was great, Our butler, Johnny was Steller (5 stars) he checked in each morning, responded when I had questions, booked our reservations. He was literally Johnny on the spot. The food was not good at all, no flavor. All of the food including the room service was not good. We looked forward to Taco Bell at the airport and thats saying a lot. Didnt like how everything closed early other than one bar and the nightly rave parties was very loud at 2 am. People were friendly, drinks has basically no alcohol in them. We've stayed in other Royalton's and this one by far was the worst. Would choose brand new next time if we stay at a Royalton.

Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and always ready to serve you. Rudy was the best! Huge variety of drinks. And beach is awesome! Steak house was so good. Definitely would go back.

The resort was great and the service was awesome, except for the excursion man who stole are money and we could get it back , so they only gave only half of it back which was sad that he had to steal from Americans to make his self feel he did something. But overall the place was beautiful , and my butler Johnny became my friend and not a stranger.

We celebrated our anniversary spend 6 nights at the resort we had diamond club upgrade and it was so worth it our Butler Johnny was very attentive he make sure our needs were met made all dinner reservations daily,room was cleaned every day beach fantastic staff very friendly and attentive our room had VIP Expedia tag on when we arrived and was decorated with flowers our trip was great

Staff was absolutely stellar during our stay at the Royalton Chic. Be it the bartenders, the waiters at restaurants or the various other staff, all were very helpful and attentive and led to a fantastic trip. In particular, our Expedia representative at the Royalton Chic, named Deivid, could not get enough praise for myself or the bachelor party group of 11. From the very moment we checked-in he was very helpful in helping us with a very detailed and well guided tour. For the rest of the stay, he was constantly checking in on us, reaching out to us, and always make sure that all of the wishes and needs of our group were satisfied. Deivid was absolutely fantastic and personable and a large reason why our bachelor party group of 11 had an absolutely stellar time for the duration of our stay. I could not give him enough praise, and he deserves all the recognition in the world for the stellar job he is doing.

I have stayed at many resorts and this one came in with the worst service. The staff were rude unhelpful. It was hard to get water in our room. There was days when we would go without water for almost 24 hours and no matter who we talk to they made it difficult. The food was horrible. The only thing nice was that the rooms are high-end by the same token there is rooms that are high-end in resorts that have good service and everything.

Room water was running out of hot water, could not take a hot shower for 2 days, remote wasn’t working upon arrival, couldn’t find anything to eat around 5:00, the dining room times and restaurant times were not convenient, the Italian restaurant was nasty, food came out cold, noodles were not done/hard, pool bar was running out of liquor and closing early. However, Johnny, our butler was great! I loved how he checked in on us 24/7. Made sure that we were good, and safe throughout our entire stay. Anytime we needed him, he was there. Cesar took good care of us as well. He was great! Thanks

NO ELEVATORS! The beds are hard, the sheets & pillow cases seem were dingy & have spots. The towels w dingy too. Before we arrived I had emailed ahead & also thought I booked a room with 2 queen beds. Somehow they received a email requesting 1 king bed. My cousin & I traveled together so I definitely did book a room with 2 beds. Also I also I had asked in the same email in which I did received a response that we were both celebrating birthdays could they do anything special they did nothing. When i showed them the email with their responding email, they were nonchalant, but they did finally get us the 2 beds in a room on the 3rd floor & they do not have elevators, after more then an hour the first day. On Thursday it rained all day we asked for umbrellas because we were stuck in the spa area no one ever came to bring them, the lady in the spa reception area was rude. We asked for a towel to put over our heads, because that all we could get from the concierge in our building to get to the spa which the area floods around the resort, so if you are on the first floor you are guaranteed to get water coming in if it rains all day which it did on thursday. On Friday morning we woke up on the 3rd floor, to an ant infestation & when my cousin went to tell them about it, they were very nonchalant, we told several people that we needed to have our room sprayed, our clothes put in a hot dryer on high heat, the ants had gotten n2 the suitcases that were on the table. It got done hrs ltr.
