Resort has nice finishes and very clean. Beautiful landscaping and beach. The food was all very much bland and lacked consistency with the exception of the breakfast buffet. I would go back but the food would need a complete overhaul. If you do go the beach front honey moon terrace sweet is highly recommended. Right on beach with plunger pool on roof. Very nice.

Everything was incredible! The staff are always pleasant, it’s clean, and it’s beautiful. The only thing I wish is that they had hand soap in the rooms. Only con was they are renovating some rooms and unfortunately my quiet, private pool room had workers next door the entire stay banging and outside on scaffolding. They don’t bother you, but it didn’t feel very private or relaxing with them looking down on the pool. I wish they wouldn’t rent rooms next to where a renovation is being done. Otherwise it’s a fantastic resort!

The location is stunning with an amazing beach. We received excellent service from almost all of the staff, there was one small hiccup (the staff in the coffee shop were not friendly), however when we mentioned this to our Excellence Club representative they went out of their way to make amends and show us how much they appreciate our business. We highly recommend The Excellence El Carmen!
