I had an amazing trip . The property is very accommodating . The highlight is deff the beach . It feels like you’re in a movie . I mean the beach is perfect . Everything is good the only thing I would say they can improve on is making non alcoholic drinks .

The hotel itself was amazing giving you a variety of restaurants to try different foods. The best bar is the bar is the main lobby bar where the make the best cocktails. The staff Yonatan,Hikaury, Jensi and Emmanuel ensured my birthday was week was going to be excellent. Aside from all the good things the beach needs some love it was not the cleanest.

If you are looking for a fabulous resort in DR this is it!!! The cleanliness is off the charts! They do a fantastic job on the grounds keeping it clean and welcoming. You’ll come in to a cold towel and champagne when you arrive. The excursions are fantastic and well worth going. I couldn’t be happier that I went. The only think I’d change is the soliciting on the beach. But the staff does a fantastic job on activities. They have yoga, bingo, dancing lessons and you just don’t want to miss them. The swim up pool to the bar is heated so it was quite pleasant to go swimming in December. The room was impeccable. I recommend a swim up pool as opposed to the rooftop terrace we honestly didn’t use it but 2-3 times. It was nice to take a nap up there. I loved the jacuzzi in the room. And I really suggest the drink Dirty Banana. Sooo yummy! The foods the best. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the Excellence Club. Magna and the amenities are well worth it. Every employee there is so kind and nice and don’t forget $5’s and $1’s for tips! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to try out other of Excellence Resorts!

My Wife and I traveled here for our honeymoon this December. Weather was amazing, sunny low 80s during the day, clear mid to upper 70s at night, little to no rain. I could not recommend Excellence El Carmen any more. The best staff, the best service, best food, rooms, views, beach, shows, everything you could ask for in an all-inclusive resort, they have it. Everyone we encountered was very happy and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully return one day.

Disappointing Birthday Experience at Excellence El
I visited Excellence El Carmen in the Dominican Republic for my birthday, hoping for a luxurious getaway, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Positives: The property is beautiful, with well-manicured grounds and clean facilities. Unfortunately, that’s the only good thing I can say about it. Negatives: 1. Service: The service was inconsistent and lackluster. Room service never arrived despite multiple requests, leaving us frustrated and hungry. 2. Food: The food was terrible. Dishes at The Kitchen Table looked old and unappetizing, almost as if they were artificially made. I became sick after dining at the Spice restaurant, even though I avoided drinking the water entirely. Upgrading to the “Excellence Club” made no difference in food quality. 3. Drinks: The liquor was low-grade and disappointing, far below the standards of a luxury resort. Again, the Excellence Club upgrade added no value here. 4. Cleanliness: There was a roach in my room. For a resort claiming to be high-end, this is unacceptable and speaks to poor attention to detail. 5. Dress Codes: The resort enforces outdated dress codes that feel completely unnecessary and out of touch for a modern vacation experience. 6. Entertainment: The Michael Jackson performance lacked energy and was far from entertaining. 7. Fake Reviews: Be wary of glowing reviews online—they seem fake, likely created by bots.
