The hotel was amazing, my only con was that when we checked in our room was filled with mosquitoes, spoke to front desk around the issue and they sent someone twice to fumigate the room.

I recently stayed at this property and while the resort itself is beautiful, I feel it’s important to share some of the downsides of my experience. One of the biggest issues was the attitude from many of the staff. If you don’t speak Spanish, be prepared to feel a bit dismissed or even avoided. Most of the workers were socializing with each other rather than focusing on guests, and if you only speak English, they often seemed surprised or uninterested in engaging with you. There wasn’t much follow-up after serving food or checking in, and overall the service felt nonchalant and inattentive. It wasn’t just with the staff most of the guests also spoke Spanish, so conversations and social interactions were limited if you only speak English. People would often walk up and start speaking Spanish, and when they realized you didn’t, things got awkward quickly, which made it harder to feel included. On top of that, the bathrooms were not maintained well. The toilet areas in particular had a strong odor, and cleanliness seemed overlooked in some spots. The food was also hit or miss there are plenty of options and you won’t go hungry, but the quality leaned more toward misses than hits. That said, the grounds and facilities themselves are stunning. There are also some genuinely kind and welcoming staff members, especially during check-in and occasionally throughout the stay, but unfortunately, they were the exception rather than the rule. Overall, while the property is beautiful.

I think this property what made this property unique was that there was no need for us to step outside the resort to be occupied, there was so much going on at the resort itself and it had everything we needed. Food, entertainment, sports, spa, gym. Everything was available and there was always something to do and participate in. We stepped out of the resort twice and that was just out of curiosity and see beyond the resort grounds but we didn’t have to do that.

Really great trip and place to relax and have a great time! Something to do for everyone. Beautiful beach! Beautiful pool! A really comfortable room with everything in excellent condition. Friendly staff everywhere, A+ for the staff! Safe environment. Food is really good everywhere we went. Great job all around. Just be careful with the timeshare scam they try to push on you but it won’t ruin your stay as they won’t insist if you just say yiu’re not interested.

I like the restaurant food but the buffet could be better. Service was a bit slow maybe it was the language barrier. The resort was great. Would recommend it if going in a group but not when you’re alone or with a significant other. Your room will be far from everything.

The villa rooms were unique and roomy. Clean and spacious. The resort grounds and landscaping are well kept and beautiful looking. The staff were very friendly to me, even though I didn't Spanish. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and the room was gorgeous. My concerns were mostly about the food. While there were many places to eat, the food was generally lackluster. Since we do not eat pork, it was challenging to distinguish between the options. At the airport- Transfers and Tours The concierge services offered taxis and excursion packages, so we decided to use their service. We selected three tours and the ride to the resort. However, the guy from the airport kept telling us we would be having breakfast with him at 7 am at his resort. He kept telling us not to give anyone his tickets. We arrived at our resort, and people were offering welcome packages. To receive the package, we had to watch a 90 minute long presentation. It was becoming so frustrating because we came there to relax, and the bombardment was a bit much. On our first morning, the guy from the airport kept calling and insisting we do not eat at our resort, then started giving us attitude when I asked about the activities I had booked. He said I needed to go to his resort, Secrets, to collect the tickets. I was so annoyed and kept saying This does not feel right. I boarded the taxi they sent and kept praying to God to return safely. The entire experience was spooky and reminded me of how I could have been abducted. I was refunded and came back to our resort. I booked our tours with Nexus; they are very expensive $800 USD for three tours for my partner and I. I would never revisit.
