At 1st I didn’t like the condo style property. Our ride had to drop us off and another lobby and we had to wait on a golf cart to take us to our lobby to check in. But it work ed out. We were given the free upgrade and bottle for being an Expedia member . Food option was amazing.

This property is well serviced with friendly, helpful people. They were very accommodating. The rooms are very clean as well as the rest of the property. The pool is very spacious and the central pool bar is pretty cool. The beach is lovely, although there was a ton of seaweed. I’m told this happens only once a year, at the end of May or early June. The people at the resort worked diligently each day to remove it from the beach. It was overwhelming, but they did a great job. That’s Mother Nature. The food was fresh and abundant, but they need some spices. I’ve had better, however most people will like it. Book the restaurants early. They fill up fast. Don’t expect the food to be like in the United States. The steaks are thin and the sauces are bland, but the cooking is pretty good. Overall, it’s a nice place to relax.

I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar - Adults Only - All Inclusive, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The resort itself is stunning—immaculately maintained grounds, elegant modern rooms, and a peaceful, adults-only atmosphere that made it perfect for unwinding. The beach is just steps away, with plenty of loungers and shade, and the water was crystal clear. One of the highlights was definitely the food. With multiple restaurants to choose from, every meal was a treat. The buffet had a great variety, and the à la carte restaurants offered top-notch cuisine—especially the steakhouse and Mediterranean options. Drinks were always flowing, whether at the pool bar, beach, or lobby. The cocktails were delicious and generously poured. Entertainment was fun but never intrusive, striking a great balance for those who want to relax or enjoy a bit of nightlife.

best hotel ever, more than 10 / 10 if I could, in everything they go over my expectations, from front desk to room service, all the staff is nice and happy all the time, hotel is huge but the train and golf cart are able to move you around without waiting time , pool are pefect to fit all the guest acomodotaion, alcohol veberage was great, buffet perfect to all nationalities , specialties reaturants are good even when i recomend improvements on menu quality but are ok, enterteant ok but i recommend more dominican music or local music like bachata or merengue but is ok, every thing GOOD

been here for 10 times - love it , lots of improvements but still room for more. 1. Bahia App - cannot order room service on Android, cannot see my past reservations, cannot see other hotels activities (important), stil limeted other options. 2. bars - quality of liquors in all bars went low dramatically - 90% of liquors are local. 3. restaurants - the restaurants menu doesnt change over years, the quality of appetizers and fish as main dish are very good but the quality of meat needs improvement 4. shows are changing/cancelling without any notice 5. not aware of sister hotels shows. 6. beach palapas are all reserved around 7AM and stay empty till 9-10AM 7. we stayed 10 days and were able to watch one or 2 shows in Ambar lobby, the rest were only live music or just YouTube music. 8 we were very happy with free room upgrades this is the most exciting part of our stay and thanks the hotel for that Overall I will return for 11th time I love it hopefully hotel will hear my comments and make improvements for the next day

Our room assigned was a 3rd floor room. I am 66yrs old with arthritic knees, and there is no elevator. Nowhere did it say no elevator in the hotel description. I had to pay $350 to upgrade to a first floor room. Not a good start! Then we had to buy sunscreen.....$45 for one .
