Food seemed to be reused (i.e. dried rice, salami looked “greenish”), seafood items placed near the searing station by the burners (food safety violation). In many occasions we were seated on tables without utensils, glasses or even napkins available, and it would take a long time to have items actually brought to us. An evident lack of supervision or F&B service management.

Unfortunately, this hotel does not deserve 5 stars. At its best, I would award it 3 1/2 stars. I was fairly disappointed with this property. We came here on a family trip, occupying 4 rooms. We did receive an upgrade to a ground floor, with private pool; however, little did we know our upgrade came with waterbugs. Big, huge, nasty cockaroaches the size of your fingers, in all 3 of our ground floor rooms. In each room, we got rid of at least 4 water bugs. Thats 12 water bugs in 3 rooms, not counting the hallways. We all dreamed of water bugs!!! That’s how infested the room and hallways were. We frequently heard the screams of guests avoiding the water bugs throughout the hallways. Also, the food was boring! Everyday same buffet options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We managed to fit in 2 dinner reservations to Dominican and Italian restaurant, and at least we got some sort of relief and had delicious food there. Service was very, very slow. For breakfast buffet, we waited on a long line for 20 minutes to be seated. I would not recommend spending the money on this hotel as we will not be returning. Only pros: The property was beautiful, beaches overpacked, but the water and sand was clean. The entertainment staff was amazing, very friendly and beach servers great.

One thing I would say the property should start to invest in halal food…you have a big Muslim population that would love to come to your country but the lack of halal food is a deterrent from coming .

The property is nice, quiet and family friendly. Two pools, a water park and the beach is plenty of daytime entertainment. The main buffet has a wide enough selection not to get boring although not so wide to be overwhelming. Breakfast & lunch service is good, dinner time less so. I suppose the better servers are at the a la carte restaurants. We've been twice in 2024 and plan to return in 2025.

A Luxurious Paradise: Unforgettable All-Inclusive Experience! We recently stayed at Luxury EsmerldaBahia Principe, and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, front desk, receptionist, Arianna, and her supervisor. Marlene were incredibly warm. Their outstanding hospitality from every single staff sets this resort apart. The accommodations were immaculate, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities one could wish for. We even got upgraded to swim up pool The all-inclusive package truly lived up to its promise. The dining experience was diverse and exquisite, with multiple restaurants serving delicious cuisines from around the globe. Naan by Chef Siddarth is truly culinary masterpiece, reminding me of Michelin starrestaurant. The resort's facilities were top-notch. I indulged in the spa, where the treatments were rejuvenating and delivered with exceptional professionalism. The pools were sparkling clean, and the private beach access was a slice of paradise—serene and pristine. What truly made my stay exceptional was the staff. Octavio in buffet, Alberto at bar and Hector in entertainment team. The attention to detail, and eagerness to cater to every need elevated the entire experience. We came here for a girls trip and had the absolute best time ever. This was our second time at the resort and will be back. Shout out to the entertainment staff (Hector, Bubalu, Jose, Mauro, Warderson, Ezequeil and Ang) for making the trip so much fun. The staff at the buffets, bars, front desk and even the pool staff were amazing. The food was exceptional!

I needs a major overhaul for staff cleanliness and hospitality training. The dining restaurants are bad. The best food is at the buffet but how can you enjoy this for 7 straight days. It’s hard to get a staff to greet you and smile at you. I got diarrhea and Covid. What a terrible experience. The dining restaurants have no availability but empty when you visit

Dear Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda Team, Thank you for reaching out! I recently stayed at your resort, and I’d be happy to share my feedback. This was my second time in the Dominican Republic, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Overall, I had a wonderful experience, but I wanted to note a couple of areas for improvement. The sushi was not up to par, and I would rate the room cleaning at a 8/10. On a positive note, the entertainment was absolutely epic! The variety of shows was amazing, and I especially want to highlight Hector from the entertainment crew. He was incredibly friendly and contributed greatly to making my stay memorable.
