🌴 Overall Experience: The resort was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and hardworking. Their dedication truly enhanced our stay, and I would happily recommend this place to others. ⚠️ Areas for Improvement: One downside was the “privilege” tier system, which felt unnecessary and somewhat divisive. Additionally, I was uncomfortable with the aggressive approach from a salesperson trying to sell timeshares—it disrupted the otherwise relaxing environment. 💆 Spa Experience: I also booked a massage and facial at the spa, but unfortunately didn’t receive the full time that was scheduled, which left me feeling a bit shortchanged.

En general es buen hotel, buena comida y bebida. Aunque siempre se puede mejorar. Un día no me rellenaron el mini bar y lo comuniqué desde las 5:30pm ya que estaba sin agua. Luego de varios intentos por teléfono tuve que ir al recepción por segunda vez como a la media noche y la persona que estaba ahí me pudo resolver algo tan simple como 4 botellas de agua del mini bar. Gracias a empleados como Bienvenido en el bar de la piscina, Jose de recepción entre otros hacen que la experiencia sea amena.

Upon welcoming the check in staff was nice. The facility was ok. What I did not like was that I never seen the butler, the lady that answered the room service calls was rude. I didn’t receive my food 2 days in a row. It was kind of boring.

Mike's coffee shop and the French restaurant were among my preferred choices. However, I found the steakhouse and Italian restaurant to be overly seasoned. During my various stays in different hotels in Punta Cana, I encountered a high volume of individuals attempting to make sales, which proved to be overwhelming for me. Last evening, on the 24th of July, there were approximately four jewelry displays, each appearing quite similar. Despite their persistence in inviting passersby to their tables, I found the experience to be rather bothersome. Regrettably, I was unable to fully enjoy my final evening due to this factor. The service, particularly at the beach buffet, was notably slow. Furthermore, the morning buffet offered the same selection each day, leaving me unimpressed. On a positive note, the two individuals working at the coffee shop on the 24th of July, 2025, were exceptional in their service.

I like that it was clean and most of the staff cleaning and in buffet and restaurants and pool lifeguard were friendly and proffetional , the food were daily different options and fresh , bars staff friendly as well ,trolly drivers friendly as well specially trolly driver Luis Duran and trolly driver william . Also at the restaurants and buffet server Manuel "elOzo" server juan and server julio very proffetional and attentive . #1 that I didnt like that my check in wasnt as smouth as it should go the keys to the ours 3 rooms were never programmed to open the doors and as key were tight up to our arms 5 of us had to go back to re program the keys for all 3 rooms #2 room 7330 ac not working and employee octavio had actittude when he came to check the ac he never fix it and told me to use the fan when that room was like a oven for me to get the proper help i had to walk back to front desk and speak to a rep because over the phone all the female on the phone was telling me that they had no rooms to switch me to , but once i went to the reseption front desk, thank you to check in rep Everline she was friendly and proffetional and switch us to room 8310 . # 3 inside and around pool too many pool tiles missing someone can get cut on theirs feet while swimming. #4 beach water entrance too dirty too many seedweed hard to get in to swim ..

Overall, it was a good stay. The staff was friendly, and the entertainment team was truly awesome—they kept the energy high and made the experience fun. The food was decent, with a variety of options, although the buffet lacked variety day-to-day and didn’t offer many local or traditional dishes. What kept this from being a five-star experience was the upkeep of the property. While the atmosphere was nice, the cleanliness and maintenance could definitely be improved. With a little more attention to detail in those areas, it could easily be a top-tier resort.

We stayed at Ocean Blue & Sand from July 18 to 23 as a group of 15, across seven rooms. The resort grounds, pool, and beach were beautiful and well-maintained — the highlight of the stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the resort had a welcoming, community feel. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Housekeeping was inconsistent — water, coffee, and other basics were often not restocked unless requested multiple times. The restaurant staff were inattentive, and we usually had to remind them to refill our water glasses. The food overall was average. There were several dining options, but nothing stood out. The only real highlight was Mike’s Coffee Shop, which served excellent coffee and pastries — we wish it stayed open 24 hours. The Privilege package created a divided experience, separating guests into different areas and services. For the cost of upgrading, you could stay at a more upscale resort. Overall, Ocean Blue & Sand has excellent potential, thanks to its layout and amenities; however, poor service and a two-tier system detract from the experience.

The Hotel staff was amazing. The hotel needs to be better maintained the buildings need cleaning and a fresh coat of paint, the pools have broken plastic and missing tiles, the room furniture is damaged and old. The food was bland and of very poor quality except in the Steak house and Japanese restaurant (That are reservations only) but they were of great quality and very well prepared. The coffee house and breakfast Buffet were also amazing. Overall the most disappointing was the food quality of the specialty restaurants. Everything else was perfectly fine and we made the absolute best of it & had a great time…M.Vazquez
