I want to say our tour person Reinaldo was AMAZING for all he was able to do he did for us and I can’t thank him enough, however you get what u pay for.. if you book through Expedia be expected to be told to upgrade for better.. they kinda treat u a certain way with the wrist band they give you. Numerous times I have had to call to beg for someone to bring us drinks or water or coffee to the room… and it’s not like u can just go ahead and grab them yourself . They HAVE to bring it to you . There were days I waited 4 hours for drinks . Room service sucks. Menu is sub par and they charge for breakfast room service . I appreciated the suite i appreciated the quietness but the first time I booked a resort through Expedia and was treated subpar because I did not get it through them themselves . Also BE PREPARED that when u book through Expedia the hotel will try to force u in a time share sell because u solely booked through Expedia

I had an amazing experience at Ocean El Faro! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — clean, relaxing, and full of great amenities. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the exceptional service. A huge thank you to Carlos Enrique, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Carlos truly represents what great hospitality should be — professional, caring, and genuine. Because of his outstanding service and the overall wonderful atmosphere, I’m giving Ocean El Faro a well-deserved 5 stars. I can’t wait to come back again!

Soy de las personas que nunca dejo reseñas pero la realidad es que en este hotel perdimos nuestro dinero. Las habitaciones están llenas de humedad y cucarachas, no importa a cual habitación te cambien en todas pasa lo mismo. Las opciones de la comida son sumamente limitadas y hubo una noche que hicieron un buffet diferente que en realidad solo tenía 4 o 5 opciones. Por favor no vayan créanme que van a perder su dinero y van a pasar unas horribles vacaciones.

We stayed in a swim up on the El Beso side, which was amazing! The staff were remarkably friendly and accommodating in every aspect but our "concierge" Carlos Enrique was especially helpful in arranging our dinner reservations and tending to any other needs we had. The resort is huge and well maintained with so many options for activities. I read some negative reviews before we arrived and I honestly can't imagine who would have anything negative to say - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and Carlos even checked in to see that we arrived home to Canada safely. Highly recommend this resort!

Me and my brothers came here on a family trip with our kids. Our concierge Carlos was amazing. We told him what we wanted to do. He set up every night for a big family dinner. The food was amazing. The employees were awesome and one of our best resorts we ever went to we’re definitely going back

We saw a mouse during our first meal in the main buffet. It kind of ruined the whole vacation for us because we knew their hygiene standards are not great. It rained (not a lot) and there was water dripping into our room, in the spa, in the lobby and in the restaurants. Our toilet didn’t flush and they only sent someone to fix it three hours later after three phone calls. I would not recommend this hotel, better to pay a bit more and have peace of mind. It’s not five star by any means.

The poolside restaurants only offer drinks. This isn't good. They need to have snacks around the pool. Unfriendly staff, very little information, and very poor shuttle service within the hotel. All the meat I tried in the restaurants, except for the Japanese restaurant and the Princess restaurant (both of which were very good), was very tough.

So let's see...started at check-in where we were given misleading info (were told we would get '$200 credit' to use) - luckily we never 'cashed' it cause we would have been charged. Once in the room, we were unable to close the door without slamming it; not truly fixed until day 4 of 6, and it still didn't properly close without force. A/C would not turn off or up - they never came to fix it, no matter how many times we called (began asking on day 2 all the way to day 5). Humidifier, same thing. Stopped working... *crickets*. All we got was the script that they were going to escalate the request...blah blah blah. Had to shower against one corner so the water wouldn't leak onto the bathroom floor. One of the sinks was always clogged. Also, I believe the hubby got sick (mold). Food was not the best (Sakura eh and only Blue Moon saved the night). There were some staff that made it bearable but for the most part it was about upselling us. We were promised a bottle gift for our 2-hour sacrifice for the membership sermon and never got it. Of course, they probably didn't like it when we said no thanks. Drinks, good depending on bartender. Thank goodness we saw no roaches and the room was clean enough. Bathroom garbage can had seen better days and was basically indicative horror to come. Ocean Burger is horribly run (when we got there I wanted a quick bite, was there for over 30 mins and never saw a morsel of food). They basically don't give a FK. Ocean, spare me the ChatGPT comment.

Limpieza de las habitacion mala, staff muy desinformado y mucha mala actitud para los guest la piscina perfecta el balcon bien organizacion muy mala. tuve un artercado en una de sus tiendas y nunca se comunicaron para poder darle mi queja de ostigamiento de parte del personal de la tienda referida por ellos . Muy mal servicio al cliente Aunq no se si tuvo que ver el que no le compre directamente a ellos la habitacion y la comore en exidia
