The property was okay, the staff wasn’t very helpful though, they didn’t help with my bags or to escort me to my room which made it hard for me to find, which I had to ask the janitor who was the only worker in sight to help me find it. Then I get to my room and the electricity wasn’t working only to find out that one of the cards they gave me was what turned everything on, which I wasn’t told by the receptionist. But the food was good, the pool was nice. Don’t forget to go to the Riu Party they throw at night time really good music/drinks/pool/Fun!!

Upon checking into our assigned room, we discovered it was infested with bugs. This was entirely unacceptable for a property of RIU’s reputation. Given the circumstances, I immediately requested a transfer to another RIU property to salvage what was meant to be a special getaway for my wife, who is recovering from severe back surgery. Unfortunately, instead of receiving understanding and assistance, we encountered additional stress and financial burden.

Everything was excellent, but some pools had yellow zones (small details, but they could be improved). There was no public transportation (although the distances weren't long where we stayed, for other guests they were). As for food, restaurants are allowed to open at least until 10:00 PM during high season. Otherwise, the service was excellent. Could more Caribbean music be added to the shows about more Dominican culture? Everything was very American, and I think it lacks of the Caribbean touch.

The rooms were very run down with no maintenance. The showers were full of mold and the whole room smelt like mold and mildew. Rui use to have GREAT entertainment, now there is nothing. The images that are shown for excursions are nothing like what you get, over priced and undelivered!! I will never be back and I will STRONGLY discourage anyone from going there!!

En general todo bastante bien, tuve algunas quejas ya que en mi cuarto no traían suministros como agua, nos salió una cucaracha en la bañera y el agua de estancaba en la bañera. La comida fue buena y las facilidades del hotel en general estaban muy bonitas. ❤️

Pro-Staff was friendly, pools were clean Cons- Food was pretty bad. Mexican restaurant and Steak restaurant was better but still not great. Beach was full of seaweed and the lounge chairs on the beach were broken and dirty. Rooms are very outdated and smell like mildew. Stay away from the casino. They are crooks.

Everything was pretty good the only thing i would complain about it the food lots of options but food wasn't that good
Beach was beautiful beside all the seaweed

So during me and my daughter had to change our rooms because the screen on the balcony was not on track. The plug sockets kept shutting off, the bar was complicated to even get the liquor out. I had to keep calling for someone to clean our room and they did not clean it until the 3rd day, which I was told it gets cleaned every day, so our room was dirty and the sheets was not changed throughout our whole stay I had to walk up to the trucks for water because they took too long to restock.

This property is a complete example of mismanagement. The management team is extremely lazy, careless, and shows zero standards when it comes to upkeep or professionalism. Every aspect reflects a lack of responsibility and accountability. I would never recommend this property to anyone — avoid at all costs.
