The rooms we stayed in are old and dirty. Ceiling paint was peeling off, balcony doors are broken, sinks are broken, shower had loose things laying around not mounted to the wall and metal thing on the shower floor was loose too. Mattresses had bed bugs and 2 inch roaches are running around everywhere. TV didn’t work. Stomach virus from the food.

Food was great. Room was a little outdated. I made arrangements for a ride to and from airport going to property was fine but going back to airpot the driver was not allowed pass security and i had to pay a taxi. Now i have to see if i can get a refund from the private service that i booked months before my vacation.

If you have high standards don't come here!!! It will be your nightmare!! . This property is very low budget. Everything is broken in the room, no transportation to rooms, no help with luggage. Tv, blower, air conditioner was broken when we arrived. We have to change rooms at 1am and nobody helped!!. No telephone in rooms. You have to go to reception everytime you need something. No room service available for anything. No shampoo no conditioner no anything. Overall it was awful. Very outdate. Like you are in the 2000’s. I’ve been coming to RD every year and this has been the worst hotel experience ever. Only food that was good was the steakhouse. At the restaurants all food presentation was awful! And No one cared to clean the mess people do. Air conditioner in the room was loud! Night Shows were ok. Staff was friendly but thats how Dominicans are. They are the best! Never again will stay in a Riu. I know I will remeber a lot of things but for now this is it.
