Overall fantastic adult only all inclusice experience! Good food and great spaces to relax and enjoy activities. Would have been preferable to have reservations for the specialty restaurants to ensure consistent service, especially for those who had to wait for a later seating.

The grounds were well kept and staff was friendly. The food was sub par our room smelled musty. The steak house served the worst steak I’ve ever had. They to find out we paid 2-3 k more for our stay than others.

This was the worst vacation I’ve ever experienced. No entertainment… Staff made you feel as though you were inconveniencing them if you had a question. For two days, my TV was broken and my remote didn’t work. I was two minutes late for my transportation and they wouldn’t take me to the airport. I paid extra money for the elite package and there was no difference. The entertainment was ridiculous. There was nothing to do. They would play music on the TV screens. Staff were not pleasant or engaging. I wanted to leave early to go to another resort, but it would’ve cost me so much money. They treated me horribly and it was my birthday. I hated this vacation. I wasted my money.

The resort seems outdated though apparently going through renovation not too long ago. Food options were super repetitive and limited. The resort could use some more space, felt like I had no privacy, thank god we didn’t do the “Elite Club” this time around.

Over all we had a good stay here but we did have some issues. We were booked into a 2 room suite but initially they put us into a jr suite. After getting that sorted out we discovered that neither of the 2 tvs in our 2 room suite worked. They were replaced in the next 2 days. Also this room was not recently renovated as the Riu site claims. There were holes in the drapes and one shower head wasn’t working. The food was good we enjoyed the gourmet and Asian the most but all was good, and you didn’t have to wait in long lines for drinks or food so that was a plus. Bartenders were all very good and helpful as well. Casino is next door so there is that if you’re into gambling. We might return there but would probably choose another one of the Riu resorts next time.

The resort was a lovely adult resort when not using the Macao section of the beach. Kudos on staff, food spa and grounds. The big issue for our group was our section of the beach on our resort was overrun with kids and families from other resorts talking over the beach chairs. There was no staff from Macao resort acting as security to stop it from happening. We paid more for an adult resort so it was frustrating to daily see the resort didn’t care. We have stayed at many other adult resorts and never had this issue so it was very disappointing. If I had wanted kids around me all day at the beach I would have stayed at a family friendly resort. Even at family resorts there are no kids at the adult pool area. I felt I overpaid for my husband’s 60th bday trip of 2 weeks. Also the timed lights in the bathrooms that would go off while trying to get dressed or out of the stall were also annoying and penny pinching making the resort feel cheapened. Having no security on the beach or checking of band of people coming up to the resort beach area was a big enough turn off not to go back. As a beach person that is a huge deterrent.
