I didn't care for the property as a whole. Room reserved in February was not available do to hotel overbooking. A/C in the room we were placed in didn't work and we had to sleep with the patio door open to stay cool. Staff was overall very uninterested in helping.

This was my second time coming to this Riu and I was heavily disappointed. The staff was rude and even cursing at me and my party. They threatened to call security on me during checkout becuase i simply conversed with my party as to how to address the bogus charge they added to our checkout . Upon arrival they tried to tell us they couldn't accomodate us and would provide travel to a different Riu. My biggest regret is not taking that offer, as other members of our group were already at the resort. In addition they couldn't make arrangements for our group to stay together as members of our party were placed on the other side of the resort. There was no hot water for 2 days. The lights to the hallways were out for majority of the trip. There was wifi for about 5 hours out of the day in our room. I would have to leave to walk down the corridor to reconnect to wifi. The liquor they use is watered down, So i spent most of my time on the toilet even only on a few drinks. This was truly disappointing given my previous experience as i vouched for this hotel and told everyone I knew not to believe the videos and posts on social media platforms such as tik toks because I had a very great experience my first time. The room everything was broken except the fan, mini bar empty, fridge broke not filled ever. Never changed the sheets even though dirty. Cold water, a/c didn’t work 2 days. Thank God there was a fan.

The Property is beautiful. The water in the shower only gets luke warm and they're no wash clothes for showering definitely bring a loopha or wash clothes. A.C works amazing. Food was mediocre. The service is great. People are amazing.

Let me start with the resort was wonderful. However, The room was not good. There was a musty odor in the room, spiders, mosquitoes were horrible in the room, and very damp to where all our clothes were and damp. The staff was told twice and when told again they decided to ask us to move on the last night. Which was pointless after suffering through it. Beside the mosquito bites and we love the resorts pool, drinks,food. Beach and chairs could have been cleaner.
