Staff is very unfriendly and most of them seem very annoyed to be working there. The room needs a lot of work and basic maintenance such as the door to my deck did not have a latch so you could not close it fully which impacted the air conditioning. After 3 attempts to have the staff remedy this, I gave up. Food is less than amazing and can't make reservations except for the steakhouse and even then, you have to stand in a LONG line to make a reservation for only that day. What a waste of time. The pools are fine, but the beach is very small and PACKED full of chairs so really there is no beach. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.

It is a huge resort, and yes, it is adults only. It doesn’t seem like an old hotel, but the rooms seemed pretty worn out and not clean enough. It has a great pool areas, bars, few restaurants- that are very hard to get in due to the amount of tourists. The resort has a huge beach, which is also overly crowded, but it is clean and has enough chairs for everyone. The staff is somewhat friendly, but not really engaging. Everything has a mass cheap feel, that’s why popular among young people who just passed “adults” age limit. I would not return to this resort again.

This was the worst resort stay we’ve ever had in our lives. From very very rude staff, disgusting food, absolutely terrible service when it came to addressing issues with our room, unsanitary food practices, extremely loud music every single night until late and can’t sleep, the list goes on. I have the worst vacation ever at this resort, it was too load , noise everywhere and the customer service was terrible,, I paid to stay a few hours after due to my late flight and the cold water run out and I have to shower with extreme hot water that got me sick.. I tried to explain to the receptionist and they wanted me to make a complaint to the main office because they couldn’t do nothing about not even returning my money..

90% of the food was horrible - overcooked, bland, etc. Had to "bribe" the maitre d to be seated even though there were plenty of seats. Not acceptable at all and no where near the food and service we received at other RIU properties. We won't be back.

The food is pretty bad, the steak at the steakhouse was literally 1/2 fat and was super tough. I understand it’s included, but they still charge a pretty hefty price for a 3 day stay. The staff is very rude and act like they are always being bothered and do not want to be there. Not one smile was seen from staff. In addition, the security guards for safety are good to have of course, but a family member who was just trying to bring me cold and flu medicine was denied entry and couldn’t even visit. That’s beyond ridiculous. The front desk denied them access and said I could walk all the way to the security gate on foot if I wanted to see them. The do not disturb sign means nothing there since we still had employees coming in our room. Definitely not impressed with this resort, first time with RIU and definitely the last.
