Waitstaff and bartenders were all excellent. our butler was very helpful with all of our reservations and any needs. Swim up bar bartenders and food truck waitress by rooms were very excellent and LaTorres wait staff was excellent and very helpful.

This was our 6th yearly stay at TRS. The grounds & the pools are excellently maintained. On the beach, there’s plenty of Palapa umbrellas & we've never had a problem getting one. There's been a Sargassum seaweed problem for at least our last 4 years. This is a problem throughout the Caribbean. TRS does it's best to clean the beach daily with a tractor pulling a Barber Beach Rake. All our stays have been in the March to June timeframe. From what I've read, the seaweed problem runs from March through October. There are many restaurants to choose from including those at the adjacent Palladium Resorts. We'd rate the restaurant with a range of fair to excellent. Every room has a Butler who has a block of rooms. We've had at ~ 3 different Butlers over the 6-year period. We met Randy, our Butler 3 years ago and he's by far the best one there. This year, I contacted Randy 2 weeks before our arrival & requested the same room that we had the previous year. Also, two days before our arrival, I requested to see if he could book us the Sumptuori (Hibachi) Restaurant for the 1st seating. When we arrived at TRS in the afternoon. he met us in the lobby and had reserved the room & restaurant we requested. On our 2nd day, we had problem with our showerhead water pressure & I texted Randy at 6:04 pm about the problem and when we got back from dinner @ 8:30 pm, I noticed that the shower head had been replaced. Looking forward to going back in 2026

The location is gorgeous! The staff are all amazing, so professional and friendly. Unfortunately, the resort is old and in need of major repairs and upgrades. The A/C could not get our room below 80 some days and never below 75. Several times we had no water or no cold water. All we got was "sorry, we're working on it ". Worst part was enduring a 3.5 hour sales pitch for their "Palladium Vacation Club". After being told we were being taken on a 90 minute tour of the property. Then being told this nothing like the high pressure sales pitches you may have encountered with time shares in the past. Then being subjected to high pressure sales pitch for their Vacation Club.

On arrival our room was frankly repulsive. There were fingerprint stains on the bedsheets, the door handles were filthy, splatter on the sink and mirror. Later we encountered a roach in our room as well as in the pool bathroom. They allow guests to reserve chairs at the beach and pool. No one patrols the beach/pool chairs to collect discarded towels or enforce the “no reserving” policy. The common pools with pool bars were cloudy, full of bugs, and not well maintained with cups plates and bottles left everywhere. The wait at restaurants for attention once being seated was extensive. Couldn’t even get water. The resort employs an extensive amount of staff to stand outside each restaurant and around the main lobby to harass you into buying a massage, photo, or travel membership. Our minibar was not restocked and took over 4hrs just to get water. It took them all day just to hang a sign for my bday. Everything needs updates- the beach chairs are sagging, dirty, the room furniture is stained & chipped. I was profusely ill and vomiting after eating at the “food tuck” by the pool. The app shows restaurants in the wrong location, we missed dinner reservations due to this They also do not follow the activities in the app (I showed up for yoga and pottery- both not happening). The doors are loud, ours didn’t shut and secure correctly. We were woken up at all hours by housekeeping slamming doors and trying to enter our room at 830am. This was my worst hotel experience.

Was nice listening to the music late at night from the pool side and from the back of the room. Could have used a dresser for the clothes I found not enough room to hold all the clothes I needed to use the couch the stocked fridge with drinks was good but didn’t really take advantage so much. Some face clothes would have been good to have. My room was close enough to the pool so that was great. And I liked having someone there close by if we needed something or had any issues I did get locked out of my room the second last day but went to the lobby and they reset it for me. Overall had a very good time at TRS. Thank you for making me feel welcome.
