This was my second time staying there and I had a good time. Staff were fun. Mattresses were clearly used and I'm not sure how often the communal tables/games were cleaned, but overall good experience
Stayed here in a private room with private bathroom for 3 nights. Nobody ever cleaned room or even emptied garbage. 3 nights no new clean towels. Bed linens were very dusty not recommended if you have dust allergies.
Otherwise the room itself and location was good also good hot water.
Good value travelers hostel walking distance to the bus, beach, and the downtown area. Private room was clean with private bathroom. Reception was very helpful even with our bad “Spanglish” and arranged our laundry for an extra $250 UR - which seemed like a good deal for the area. Breakfast is pretty much bread and yogurt- normal hostel stuff. Bring earplugs if you’re not used to the late nights (Uruguayans get started around 1am).
Excellent location - in five minutes you can walk to Playa Brava (Hand beach) or Playa Mansa. Plenty of street parking. Only downside was the lack of water pressure in the shower.
Sofia at front desk was really nice and helpful! Hostel is walking distance from bus station and the hand sculpture. So if you want to make to sunrise at the sculpture this is the place to stay!

thank goodness for location
the hostel is in a great location but that is about it. The staff are disconnected, uninvolved and lazy. We could have stayed in a hotel in the area for the same price, and then would have at least had a quite room and a decent breakfast. There are better options in Punta Del Este.
Very friendly staff, helped me with everything. Nice kitchen with a lot of stuff. Maybe you can buy 1 new backing pan. Shared room looked cozy and artistic. You get new sheets so you know they are clean, but the old bloodspots were still in them. Blankets were dirty.
