My sister and I had a fantastic vacation at SLS Playa Mujeres!  The property is so beautiful, with everything you need right in the grounds. Coffee & pastry shop, smoothie & juice bar, gyms, pools, hot tubs, spa, excellent restaurants, beach access, water activities and more! This place is such a gem!  Rooms are beautiful, with great bathrooms & comfortable beds/bedding. It’s super family friendly, with a great area for the kids to play, and a family pool away from the adult only pool. The staff are so friendly & professional. We felt super safe & really enjoyed our stay. They recently opened so they’re still figuring some things out (like the concierge service was not as responsive as we expected, maybe they have too many people they’re taking care of?), but we didn’t mind, especially because of the warmth of the staff, everyone was so helpful. Some of the things that made our stay amazing: The cacao ceremony. We loved getting our cappuccinos from Lucio every morning, and our protein smoothies & juices from Leticia at the smoothie bar.  And Pedro & Ariel were so amazing, truly dedicated to excellent service every time we saw them at the restaurants.  Honestly everyone we spoke to/got help from were kind & professional. We will definitely be back & hope to bring our whole family when we do.

We spent 8 nights and in few words: AMAZING. We've visited another resort (Secrets) so we have something to compare to. Food is Amazing, really made fresh, to order and with attention to details - chef quality food. I could write many words of everything we ate and that was delicious. Honestly, there only maybe 1-2 things that were not that good but the culinary experience was amazing and much better than the other resort (still good). Amenities are new, well kept, and with nice decor (excentric). Hotel is VERY clean and they have a lot of staff keeping it clean all time. It is amazing how well they keep the maintenance and cleaning up to date. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The check in process was easy, 5 min a guided 10 minutes tour to our room. We really liked not having someone trying to sell us a vacation package and wasting 1 day of our trip like we had on the other resort, and check out was also 5 min, very convenient. Swimming pools are great, beautiful and including all the area surrounding it. They have their own private beach which is very calm and beautiful (I'll be honest, the Zona Hoteleira ocean view/colors are more beautiful but the exclusivity of the private beach is amazing. They have their own kayaks, etc to use as courtesy. We did use their gym, 2 swimming pools, all restaurants ands bars and we did not use the SPA. To improve: it is a new hotel, staff will learn more soon, and water needs better filtering (bath/hydro tub).

Had a great experience at the SLS. Unfortunately the other restaurants weren't opened during our stay (opened Dec. 19) however the others were really good. I also loved that they had a protein and smoothie bar, perfect for post workout. The staff was so polite and attentive. Rooms were kept cleaning throughout the day. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Hotel staff was amazing and worked really hard to make you feel happy and keep everywhere clean and tidy . However because hotel is too new and not enough people so there is no lunch or dinner buffet. There is only 3 restaurants open at night time and night life is basically non-existance at this moment.

First of all i like to thank the staff they were above and beyond with service. Shout out to the manager at the steakhose who treated me like a king. Front desk is amazing checkin was fast i would recommend this hotel and i will be returning to this property. Also Eric the food service guy made me feel like i had a butler he was above and beyond service.

The hotel is not yet completely functional. Only 3 restaurants were open, no buffet opened during our 6 nights stay, which was a big problem for traveling with kids. They have a good kids pool with slides and good playground in the kids club. It would be nice if the whether was warmer, We got upgrade to oceanfront room which was very nice! However, the room size is smaller than other Cancun resorts we stayed before. Our room didn’t have ‘living room area’ at all. The food was average with exception of few dishes in all three restaurants. Room service was pretty good. Drinks in the bars were good too. The beach is short, not for beach walkers like I am. In a cold whether there is very little we could do there, so we probably not return, mostly because of a room size and beach size. However, I understand that this resort could be a very good choice when begins to run at full speed.

Caracola was great for dinner, but really didn’t know how to do breakfast. Unfortunately that is where breakfast was served all mornings. We were rarely given what was on the menu. The cooks don’t follow the menu. It was windy so we couldn’t enjoy the water activities. There was limited activities outside of that. It made it more disappointing that the pool and hot tubs closed soooo early (7pm). The hot tubs were also cold for hot tubs. Very room temperature. We were not well informed about how to reserve activities like exercise classes. The butler system would work, but the butlers aren’t always responsive and it’s not completely clear who is working or not. Then the website also wasn’t working well so you could not just reserve things for yourself. This made reserving activities very difficult and all the things we did want to do, were booked. Even for dinner the website said reservations were full, but we were 2 of maybe 30 people in the whole resort and there was no way reservations were full. No atm on the property, made further preparation for daily activities more difficult. We also had yellow water in our jacuzzi. My guess is it was from rusty pipes, but it was weird. Small beach. Only limited boundaries for kayaks and paddle boards. Could have probably given 2 stars, but it is very new so it has a lot of potential to take reviews like these and get much better!

Facility was great overall. The food was the highlight for sure, some of the best resort food we’ve had. Ivan and Mario at the Monkey bar were fantastic bartenders.
