Welcomed with open arms
We arrived later than planned and they accommodated our request to have dinner prepared for our arrival which was the time the kitchen closed. We were able to check in and get settled in quickly. unfortunately their parking lot was full, but were able to park close by.

Walkable to uptown if you don’t have mobility issues and can still negotiate stairs going to uptown. The funicular is a short distance walk from the hotel but opens at a later time of the morning if someone wants to avoid going up the stairs.

We stayed here for the Christmas holiday. The hotel is very conveniently located. Rooms were OK, but not spectacular. The staff at the hotel itself was wonderful, the staff at the attached restaurant/bar (Louise), not so much. We stopped in there on our first night to have a nightcap and were rudely escorted out because we didn't have a reservation for the open seats at the bar. When my friend mentioned we were guests at the hotel, the server literally responded "I don't care".
