Located in the center of town with shops, restaurants and many main attractions. The room is beautiful, spacious, clean and the staffs are friendly and welcoming . The pillows are so thick and uncomfortable
My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Port Royal, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and quick. The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with modern touches that made it both comfortable and functional. The bed was exceptionally cozy, and the linens felt luxurious. I also appreciated the little details like complimentary bottled sparkling water. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walking distance to everything I need. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Quebec City.
Building was tiltted and bags rolled on their own
Elevator was small but adquate

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room 302 is noisy with a view of a gas station and intersection. I did request a quiet room when I booked a year in advance but was emailed shortly after that it was noted but was out of their control due to bookings....
This room has exposed pipes in the ceiling ,unfinished holes in bathroom & tiny closets. The room was clean and we thought the bed and pillows were comfortable .The lobby, elevator and lounge needed a vacuum. The uneven laminate flooring in room 302 is challenging especially waking&walking at night. The space between the bed and wall which has the tv mounted is tight & picarious. There is a small counter with a hot plate, microwave and kitchen dishes coffee maker, kettle and toaster but you have to wash all dishes in the bathroom sink 🤔 note: if you are NOT driving, there is no market to buy food in the area so the kitchen is useless. Realizing that the parking lot was full both nights we stayed, if I was staying post cruise again I would definitely choose a different accommodation as I think this is better suited for a driving destination. Plenty of restaurants near and we enjoyed the 'Buffet' down the street for lunch and breakfast. The last day we dined at the hotel's restaurant Louise which had good strong coffee and a delicious traditional breakfast. It's close to the cruise port and train station.
All in all OK but if I was to stay again I'd choose different.
They mixed up my reservations and gave me a lesser room than I paid for. They actually tried to charge me for my room although I had already paid on Expedia. The manager told me there would be no extra charge like for my room as if he was doing me a favor. However, I had booked a ledger room with a Queen and a Murphy bed.I had a tiny room not the larger room I had booked.
The room was quiet, clean...the bathroom was spacious, perfectly clean, old style like in the castle. The breakfast was excellent in the restaurant by the hotel.
If you like IKEA furniture, you will love this hotel. It is in a nice walkable area with many restaurants, but the furniture in the room is terrible. The sofa is rock hard. The Ty was heard wood chairs with a cheap table. The bed headboard and nightstands hand water damage on both sides and simple wood frame just like IKEA. The mattress was so hard our backs were killing us in the morning.
