It is a lovely hotel, but it isn’t in Old Quebec so there is a lot of walking up and downhills to get from this hotel to Old Quebec.

Great Hotel
The front desk people are so kind and helpful. The airline broke my luggage. They did everything they could to help me. The breakfast delivered to your door is quite a nice touch! The rooms are clean and quiet with very comfortable beds. This hotel is very close to the port if going on a cruise.

Nice hotel in a convenient location
My wife and I stayed at Hôtel des Coutellier for three nights in mid August. We found the hotel to be very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the room (queen bed) to be comfortable. The location is great as it offers easy walking access to the old town shops, restaurants and museums. We paid for parking across the street through the hotel which was quite convenient, although we didn't use the car the whole time we were there! The breakfast was a nice touch, with a special bag hung by the door that contained croissants and orange juice paired with different items daily - we loved it! The only negative, which was minor, was that you really can't adjust the room's temperature - it has a thermostat, but when i turned it down from 22C (to 19C, we like it cool at night), it had no effect; I called the desk and he said that it was a "central" system impacted by other hotel guest and it wouldn't really get below 22C in the room, and suggested we open a window. We did open the window, which helped as the night air was fairly chilly, but there is a lot of noise outside the hotel (we were in the front) until about 4am. I realize I ranted about the a/c, but if you do like it cold keep that in mind. Otherwise the hotel was great and I can definitely see us staying there again!

Newly renovated room (unbelievable shower). Very spacious with extremely comfortable bed. However, noise was a slight issue. Some from street and some from building air conditioning that blows continually. Since we were traveling by train, it was ideal. 5 minutes walk.

We absolutely loved the hotel, the location is right in the center and walking distance from the old town and a lot of restaurants. The parking is right across the street which is very convenient. This is boutique style hotel and everything was exquisite, the bedding, the towels, the breakfast. But the most important we felt like VIP guests. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous staff and gorgeous room
This hotel was an absolute gem and the staff could not have done more to make our stay a memorable one. We were there to celebrate a special birthday and the team definitely helped make it special. They ensured we had everything we needed and even things we didn't realise we wanted! The only drawbacks for us were the location - we knew it was a bit further out but we didn't take into consideration the hills in Quebec City adding a different element to your walks. The room was beautiful plenty of space but could have had a little more storage for clothes, appreciate people maybe don't normally spend a full week here but for us this was part of a larger holiday and therefore we had a lot of stuff with us. The view from one side of the room was a bit disappointing as it looked directly in to people's apartments - but we kept the blinds closed on that side. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
