Location is great but building safety and room cleanliness isn’t. The first floor entrance door is always open without anyone supervising or keeping an eye on who can go in and out of the hotel. In hind sight, it was a major safety hazard as who knows if some psycho decides to come into the hotel and starts causing harm to guests! Room isn’t very clean, we had a connecting room and the doorway in the middle was very dirty. There are also not enough storage space in bathroom to put our toiletries bags or hang our clothes/bath towels if we are more than 1 person. The hallways to the rooms always has a weird smell, kind of old mouldy food gone bad smell….or BO. The swimming pool looks nice but not practical, very small and gets easily crowded. The steps in the pool are also very annoyingly designed, we either keep missing the step or hitting our toes against it.

In walking distance, the property is surrounded by many variety of restaurants. It's very convenient, however the property is not that secure, I feel anybody can just walks in the property and just break into the rooms to steal something. The hotel is a bit old, the toilet size is for children, too small for adult. The shower head and hot tub water is weak...takes sometimes to fully finish a shower.

No breakfast. Hotel was fairly dirty. Sink wouldn't drain, toilet wouldn't stop running. No sound proof rooms, the downstairs is worse than the upstairs. The hot tub was not hot. It was room temperature.

We found the hotel to be great. The staff were amazing and the rooms very quiet. The kids enjoyed the pool and Boston Pizza on site was very convenient.

Excellent rapport qualité prix, plein d'énergie d'hier et la saison d'étudiants et c'est clair que les services disponibles le rend une destination toute l'année, inclus une vraie luxe en été et la basse saison universitaire. Il paraît être associé avec autres marques dans les quartiers historiques, et j'ai hâte de les découvrir, grâce à l'expérience moderne et branché de l'hôtel Universel et notamment toute sa personnel.

Difficultés à avoir 4 serviettes et 4 débarbouillettes par jour. Il a fallu attendre à 20h une journée pour pouvoir prendre nos douches. Une seule machine à café qui à 2$ dans létablisssment. Piscine beaucoup trop petite 10 personnes et plus de place. Salle darcade désuète.

Asked to have the room cleaned and they didn’t get it done til I asked for a second time at 2 pm and they changed my towels and the towels they put were dirty I had to go out and ask the housekeeping for new towels again. Overall the hotel is good but the service need to be improved.

The water of the pool was not heated. Junk and plastics bottles everywhere in the pool yard. The room urgently needs some urgent repairs specially the heater, also note that the curtain was over the heater which can cause fire. It’s not value for money not recommended.

Overall it's a middle class family hotel, if you intend on having a peacefully stay ,it is not the place for you. The hotel is located near everything ...look up for The Pyramid if your looking for food during your stay . The room was ok overall considering the age of the building ...

Horrible parking layout. Basic services are hard to get ( room cleaning/ fresh sheets or towels), pool area was not clean or upkept. Water damage and leaking in hallways. Very limited tv, beds uncomfortable, no decor. Very noisy, and way too expensive for what you get. This place needs major renovations and new management.
